4/1/2025 UPDATE: Turtle's Tiki Bar & Grille and Shima Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar are open to our rental guests. Sundial Resort is offering Sundial Daycation passes (including main pool access, beach chair, and umbrella service) on a limited basis through March 31, 2026. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 866-565-5093 or visiting sundialresort.com for details and cost. Additionally, discounted Sundial Resort day passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis ($25 per day for adults, $15 per day for kids) with valid proof of a rental booking. No advanced reservations accepted, so go early! The availability of these day passes is not guaranteed, as advance sale day passes can sell out quickly.

It includes assigned parking and an elevator in the building, and it is located just steps away from the main resort complex. This offers easy access to the community pool and BBQ grills.

This Sanibel Island vacation rental is part of the luxurious Gulf-front Sundial Beach Resort & Spa. Our guests can access many of the resort's amenities, including the beach, a community pool located near your building (currently under construction and unavailable), tennis and pickleball courts, BBQ Grills, and resort restaurants and spa. Amazing view!

Excellent location within the Sundial, right between main clubhouse pool and more quiet side-pool, and I’d bet the best view of the ocean and beach! Also, private, covered parking and convenient Resort grocery store right next door, along with all the restaurants and Tiki bar! I’d definitely want to stay in the unit again!

Absolutely perfect location

The property was great! Great beach, great pool, great restaurants nearby. The condo was nice but it was lacking some lightbulbs, a hair dryer, and some updating in the kitchen and bathrooms. Other than that, everything was perfect! We ate at Island Cow, Sand Bar, and Timbers and they were all good. Jerry’s grocer is close and Love Boat ice cream is wonderful. We will use this place again for its perfect location!

Enjoyed our stay

Really enjoyed this property. Sleeping at night was a little hard as the bedrooms were warm as AC did not pump out cool air in the bedroom. And the main bedroom door would not close. But the reason we chose this property was the view and that did not disappoint. The balcony is absolutely incredible! Very roomy! I probably spent 4-5 hours a day on the balcony. I was either reading, listening to music or napping (which I never do, but it was just so peaceful. We loved our stay and would love staying in the same unit again.

Perfect location - except for the barking dog

Sun Dial is the perfect location on Sanibel Island. Beautiful accommodations and right on the beach. my only issue is that owners are permitted to have dogs with them. The dog below us barked for 3 hours solid while its owners were gone each afternoon of our stay. We had a baby with us who tried to nap during this same time. There was nothing I could do about it, nor could Royal Shell. If I stay there in the future I will ask if there are dogs near the unit I rent.

Beautiful condo

This condo is well kept & looks exactly like the pictures. The large lanai is awesome. The only suggestion is to replace the beach chairs & umbrellas. Almost all were broken. We had a lovely stay & would highly recommend!

The property was beautiful! Location great, although electric outlets, fan in the bathroom kept blowing and had to be reset. I would have liked more communication on the property, as the referenced things like (outside trash cans to use, but no idea where those are, and can’t use resort amenities, but no direction on what that meant.). Property and experience was amazing overall. !

Sanibel - Oceanfront

Very beautiful complex. Inside of condo needs some updates. The longer we were there, the more electrical outlets quit working. We never took the time to search for the fuse box. Too busy having fun!!

Spectacular right on Gulf

You cannot possibly get a better rental at Sundial or anywhere on Sanibel. The wrap-around porch directly overlooking the gulf is amazing and you can hear the waves from the living room, master bedroom and den. This 3rd floor condo overlooks the Gulf as well as the building’s pool. The den can be closed off for privacy. The listing is accurate and everything seems in perfect shape - what you see in the pictures is what you get. Royal Shell is a great rental agency and you can be assured everything will be taken care of. Everything is clean and looks new. The decor is great and I would highly recommend this property for Sanibel rental. The pool is right next to the condo, there are beach chairs and toys in the condo’s storage room at ground level, there’s a great tiki bar within 100 yards and the Sundial resort is now completely refurbished with a nice restaurant upstairs. The resort’s pool is not included in the rental, but you can pay extra for that. I see no reason to spend the extra money though, because you have your own pool right next to the condo. There are many fantastic restaurants on Sanibel, but our favorite by far is Traders, although it’s a little pricey. Over Easy for breakfast, Doc Ford’s if you like boats, Lazy Flamingo for oysters and burgers, Sanibel Grill (next to Timbers) for a great bar, Timbers + Doc Ford’s for everything. Do not miss ice cream at Pinocchio’s. Must-do’s include a trip to Captiva for Sunset at The Mucky Duck bar. The Bubble Room is overpriced but definitely worth a visit - walk through to explore all the nooks and crannies! Shop for groceries in Ft. Myers on your way to the condo, then replenish and buy fresh stuff on the island from Bailey’s or Jerry’s.You cannot possibly get a better rental at Sundial or anywhere on Sanibel.
