About this property

Lakeshore Cabin on Moosehead Lake

Our Boathouse sleeps 10 comfortably. We have five bedrooms: bedroom 1: Queen bed, bedroom 2: 2 twin beds, bedroom 3: two twin beds, bedroom 4: full bed, bedroom 5: full bed. There is one bathroom with a shower.We have a television with Direct TV. We are nestled right on the shore of Moosehead Lake. If you have a boat you can reach out to Moosehead Marina for docking. Snowmobiles are welcome and we are located right on the ITS trails. NOTE: There are many upgrades to furniture and beds at this time. We will keep the current bed set up but new mattresses and bedding will be provided. Pictures will be updated as furniture comes in.

Guys fishing trip

Spent 3-days here for some ice fishing with friends. This is a superb location, my favorite in the area by far (I've been coming to moosehead for many years). The location and proximity to the water can't be beat. If the weather doesn't cooperate you can easily use the house as your fishing shack. We were very comfortable and had a great time. Owner/Linnea is very welcoming and made it clear if we had any trouble to reach out. I will definitely continue to rent from Linnea in the future.

Great escape

This house was nestled in a cove and in the perfect spot. Very quiet and secluded. The house was very nice and handled a group very well. Everything was as posted. PS-Wish she would supply with more than 2-3 rolls toilet paper. Seems like a small request. Otherwise I highly recommend.

Great camp, great location. Not the greatest management

We came up ice fishing for a long weekend with 6 adults and 3 young kids (2 years old). Camp was great location located steps away from water, only tying holding this back from 5 stars was the fact we arrived to a snowbank only 12” away from the bottom step which was a sheet of ice along with the 3 steps up to the front door, with no sand there to spread on steps. Along with 1/4 roll of paper towels, and toilet paper which was quickly used up. Luckily we brought our own. One last thing was no dish soap, found an empty bottle under the sink that allowed us to do dishes for one day only….

Great location Owner Doesn’t Care

Let me start with the positives: 1. Great location on the lake 2. Quiet Area with lots of Privacy 3. Overall just a great area of the country Issues/negatives of the Stay: 1. One bathroom (which we knew going in) 2. No laundry (although it show in photos) 3. No Tv when we arrived because of “weak signal” - one of the issues I called owner about and she dropped off a Roku device in a box 4. No toilet paper in house (owner said she would drop off but forgot 5. During hot days, extremely hot/stuffy in house - we bought fans to make it at least tolerable (we suggested supplying fans to the owner as we did a few other suggestions and I don’t feel they were received well 6. Almost no dishwashing liquid, no sponge, no garbage bars, very little options for cookware. 7. Extremely uncomfortable mattresses. 8. Screens that you have to place in window yourself and are not enough of them so you can’t open all windows. Overall I have rented over 30 times on this platform and this is my first negative review, and it is because I tried to give her suggestions personally instead of on the platform and I was thanked by her falsely claiming we damaged her house which is totally untrue as I was also an owner on this platform and understand how it feels to have someone staying in your home and we would never disrespect someone’s home. We stayed with 2 other families and I personally went through this house prior to leaving and I know the house was just in need of a normal cleaning.

We had an enjoyable Columbus Day weekend in Rockwood. The weather was not great but the house was nice and warm and the view couldn’t be beat. We all enjoyed watching football on Sunday on the couch and poking around on the beach out front it was a full moon and watching the moon rise over the lake was gorgeous and we also had a couple outdoor fires which was also really enjoyable. There were millions of ladybugs in the camp and quite a few cobwebs the water had a lot of sulfur in it and was certainly not drinkable, there was no use of the washer and dryer and the Wi-Fi was down I would certainly not refer To the kitchen as fully stocked but we found what we needed as far as pots and pans were concerned. The mattresses were not particularly comfortable and neither were the pillows so in comparison to some other places we stayed I feel like the price was pretty high but as I said the view couldn’t be beat.

Gorgeous views, great location!

This is a perfect house if you just want to enjoy Moosehead Lake and the surrounding area. The house has most of the basic things you would need, and can handle a group/family. The owner was friendly and helpful.
