About this property

Hollow Hideaway is nestled between peaceful mountains and star filled sky's.

Hollow Hideaway is a family-friendly home surrounding by beautiful peaceful mountains.

The home was newly restored, designed and furnished by the owners in 2023 having all the amenities you could ever need while on your stay. It is private and comfortable, offering picturesque surroundings which might even include wildlife when you least expect it. Wolfsville is a very small, private and quite town with very safe surroundings allowing you to walk, run or bike. The neighborhood is friendly and will make you feel at home. There are security cameras by front and side doors for your protection.

When designing, we thought of luxury first. The beds include brand new memory foam mattresses so you feel like you are sleeping on a cloud, covered in plush 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, a fluffy duvet comforter and firm pillows that cradle your head with comfort. Bedrooms include dressers, closets and suitcase stands for your convenience. Our bath towels are large, thick and soft to dry you after coming from a relaxing rain shower. The gourmet kitchen has everything you will need to make a simple meal for one to a Thanksgiving feast or Christmas dinner for all guests. When you wish to relax outdoors, you have a choice of relaxing on the covered porch listening to the sounds of nature while enjoying a table-top fire or sitting under the stars with a roaring fire in our open firepit, complete with grilling grate to be able to cook hot dogs, hamburgers and more outdoors over the fire. But, if you don't want to build a fire, the gas grill will do the same with less work involved.

If you are looking for something to do while you stay at our home, our surroundings have plenty of nearby activities for you to try that are only a short drive away. If history and exercise are on your agenda, Gambrill, Catoctin, Cummingham & Washington Monument State parks offer hiking, biking, informational tours and even swimming. The Battlefields of Gettysburg, Monocacy, Antietam and Harper's Ferry offer driving and walking tours rich in history on the Civil War. Historic downtown Frederick offers not only history, but restaurants, shops, parks and more to take up your day. The Appalachian trail is within walking distance from our home and High Rock Overlook in Pen-Mar Park offers beautiful views and para-sailing. In the winter months, Ski Liberty or Whitetail ski slopes offer skiing, tubing and snow- boarding. Our town streams offer trout fishing when in season and the Potomac River is perfect for kayaking & fishing as well. Shopping, restaurants, antiques and more are all withing10 to 20 minutes away and Baltimore and Washington DC are both within 70 miles. The location offers plenty of activities to fill your day or you can sit back, read a book or play a board game as your entertainment. Attached to the same property is an automobilia museum which can be visited by arrangement with the property owner.

If beverage tours are your thing, we have several wineries, distilleries and breweries close by. We can even book a private tour for you at any number of locations, allowing you a behind the scene access that is not available to just anyone. Just ask the property owner for assistance.

We offer FREE WIFI to all our guests and our cable services are provided by Xfinity offering over 125 channels. All TV's are smart TV's allowing you to use your accounts for streaming your favorites. Weekend visit
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this property! Suzanne and her husband have truly thought of everything from cozy and comfortable furnishings, decor, kitchen amenities to snacks and a welcome gift. There isn’t much close by so maybe do shopping ahead of time but we joked that we could get to a store, restaurant, museum, brewery in just 20 mins in either direction! I would love to visit again as there is a lot to see in just a weekend! Great for a couples get away or girlfriends!

An Amazing stay
The Hollow Hideaway is a great place to stay. I enjoyed my first stay so much that I decided to come back for a second time. Which confirmed this place is the real deal and can consistently deliver a wonderful vacation. The hosts are just terrific people, very pleasant and accommodating. They have set the place up very well with an abundance of amenities that will make your time there relaxing, comfortable, and entertaining. The beds and couches are incredibly comfortable, the shower is luxurious imho, the WiFi works great, the tvs are nice with Roku and all the apps available, and there’s an arcade table you can play classic video games on. The area is great too, since it is in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Although it is out in the charming countryside with the Appalachian Trail down the street, it is still an easy drive in to Frederick or Hagerstown, as well as the many other attractions in the area. I would highly recommend anyone thinking of staying here to go ahead and book your stay, as this place is a great find!

Thank you for sharing your newly renovated, quaint house. With its location close to both Hagerstown and Frederick, it worked out perfectly for us visiting family in the area. We especially enjoyed the holiday decorations and the treats found in the kitchen.

Why they chose this property

Hollow Hideaway is our homeplace. It was a part of our family farm, handled down thru the family allowing us to finally purchase and keep in the family. We love the town and the people in it and wouldn't leave for any reason.
