About this property

Secluded and Private Personal Suite

You will have no shared spaces within the house. Your suite is completely private as well as your patio and entrance.

The home is nestled in the historic district of California Heights in Long Beach, California. Near several freeways and centrally located 20 miles from Los Angeles or Orange County and is in walking distance to the popular Atlantic corridor with many shops and restaurants.

You will have a private entrance, queen bed, kitchenette (small fridge, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, cups, utensils), Wi-Fi, AC/Heat, T.V. (streaming privileges- Disney+, Hulu, Netflix, Peacock, Prime and Sling) and your own private restroom with personal size toiletries.

There is a relaxing private stone-paved patio adorned with potted succulents and cactus. Also, a shared whimsical garden sitting area located in the front yard.

During your stay I am always available via text prior and during your stay.

Gather used towels
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Gather any used towels and place in the shower/tub.
Make sure to turn off the Air conditioner and close all windows and lock door
House keeper will strip bedding and throw out the trash.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
We are located in a residential community and between the hours of 10:00pm and 8:00am noise should be kept to a minimum.
We understand sometimes accidents happen. Should you break anything please let us know. We love animals but we chose to make this suite pet-free. 
No smoking of any kind in room or on property:no cigarettes,weed,vaping or hookah. A $200 fine will be added for violation.

A very comfortable stay in Bixby Knolls

The bed was very comfortable, great storage areas, a nice desk for my laptop, good WiFi, easy entry and the neighborhood was exceptional. Quiet, not much Street traffic, and friendly people in the neighborhood. Easy parking right in front.Hosts were very responsive to my questions and needs. I very much enjoyed my stay in the room in Bixby Knolls.

Ed is an Excellent Host and the Garden Suite Retreat is Paradise! Ed provides every accommodation that we need and want! Loved the place before we got in the door. Cute cottage and garden that look like they belong in a fairytale. The historic neighborhood was quiet and parking was a breeze. The room was clean & cozy. Lovely hideaway

This lovely studio apartment is located on a quiet residential street and is part of a house that is a designated historical site. The room is well appointed and very quiet. A peek over the neighbors fence revealed a blooming wisteria. Location is within walking distance to several highly rated restaurants. The owner was very pleasant and wanted to ensure that my stay was wonderful. Which it was!

I absolutely loved my time here! The place is in the perfect location! Parking was easy breezy! It is truly stunning, cute and well decorated. It is private, which I was very pleased with. The hosts emailed very detailed instructions prior to my arrival which clearly outline check in & check out proceedures. I loved the place so much, I didn't want to leave. If anyone is having doubts about this place, I can assure you, it's worth it.
