About this property

Stunning Gulf views with Kayaks, Pedal Boat, Bikes and Tiki Bar with TV

Stunning waterfront Gulf view with canal access for boat. Horseshoe Beach, an old Florida gem, with beautiful sunsets, fishing, scalloping, bike riding (we have 3 beach bikes) kayaks, and pedal boat. Area golf cart rental and fishing charters. 3/2 waterfront home, with a wrap around porch and boat dock on the Gulf of Mexico. Large corner lot with all the amenities and water toys. Tiki Bar that seats 8 with a TV and refrigerator. The downstairs area can be enjoyed with a large eating area with a grill and fire pit. There are also plenty of fishing poles, kayaks and a paddleboat. The porch swings are fun for all too. We have corn hole, lawn bowling, badminton and other games. Bring wood for the fire pit. Launch your own boat and park at our dock for your stay (although don't recommend overnight, it does get very shallow at low tide), plenty of room for your trailer. Rent a golf cart. You can purchase bait at the bait house. If you are looking for a quiet area, close to restaurants in Steinhatchee, this is the place for you. One great restaurant, playground for kids. This is a very quiet area, but so close to Steinhatchee. Near Fanning and Manatee Springs, Cedar Key and Steinhatchee. Gainesville is over an hour. Please do your research on this area or ask any questions before booking.

Here is a quote from a recent guest.

The pictures match the place exactly. I was looking for an “away from the popular, overcrowded spot” and I got just that. It’s a small community, with beautiful views. We went biking, kayaking- we fished and explored the springs nearby. Shelly was super helpful with recommendations and any other thing I asked. This house fit my entire family beautifully. The area is safe and peaceful. The community was amazing. The people were friendly and we noticed they all got together to watch the sunset. The best part though is how they take care of each other (and us while we were there) and come together for little get togethers. We got the privilege of hearing them play guitar and sing. It was beautiful!! I will say bring some out door lighting to use the tiki bar better at night and some good bug repellent if you plan on being out after dark. But we spent most of our day outside so by the time it was dark- we were ready to go inside. We loved it and would book here again!!

Girls Weekend
Beautifully maintained, located on the water, awesome views. Weather was not great but it gave us time to relax. Wish we could have used the paddle boat (too rainy). the Tiki bar area is a cool spot, roomy area with plenty of seating and a swing overlooking the water. Highly recommend.

An Ideal Getaway!
We booked this awesome house as a late summer getaway before the kids started school. We didn't know much about Horseshoe Beach at the time but completely fell in love with it. The home is elevated, very well stocked, and sits directly on Gulf and surrounding canals. Super clean and Owners were very responsive. We had a blast fishing, paddle boating, and exploring the area. It was so refreshing to get away from the busy city life and breathe in Old Florida at its best. Kids had fun playing in the large yard and trying to catch all the blue crabs in the fishing nets. Ideal setup with a split floorplan and an awesome sunroom for watching the sunsets. Already booked for next year!

Our family loves to travel. We also love the beach, sailing and anything water related. We live in Clearwater and have a cabin home in the mountains in Blue Ridge Georgia. We purchased this as a second home to get away from city life. We want others to enjoy our little piece of paradise. The charm of a really small town, so quiet and peaceful (slowly recovering).

Why they chose this property

So quiet and peaceful. Truely old Florida at its best. Very quiet, end of the street on a wide open canal facing the Gulf of Mexico. Our town is smaller, quiet and friendly. Many of its attractions emphasize the natural environment. It’s a place for hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing. And you can enjoy it all without devastating your wallet and facing large or pretentious crowds. Here, oaks draped with Spanish moss stand guard over saw palmetto and vivid flowers. They all thrive by crystal-clear rivers and springs.

We have a large lot, also room to park an RV or boat w/trailer, along with an electric plug. We do not recommend parking a boat, unless its an airboat at our dock during low tide. Our home is set up for two families or 8 people. With a room with 2 sets of bunk beds and 2 others bedrooms, each with a queen bed and water views. The downstairs can be enjoyed with a large eating area with a grill. There are also plenty of fishing poles, kayaks and a paddleboat. The porch swings are fun for all too. We have corn hole, lawn bowling, badminton other games. we just added a 8 seat bar area outside.

What makes this property unique

Very quite, small town. The springs are so close about 30 minutes for Fannin and 45 minutes to Manatee Springs. Also, Cedar Key and Steinhatchee are accessible by car or boat. Bring your golf cart, or rent one, it is very golf cart friendly. Please note, there is no actually BEACH on this island. There is a small beach on Shirad Island about a 20 minute drive, very quite and nice. There are many little islands around Horseshoe Beach that allow for a more beach like setting, accessible by boat or Kayak. Must sign a waiver for water toys. We also store our Pontoon boat under the home when we are not using it, it is not in the way.
