This is a great place to stay. We stayed in the lower level a couple years ago and this year we stayed in the upper portion of the house. Well maintained and hosts communicated well. Highly recommended!

Quite place on Lake Junaluska

Nice place right on the lake at Lake Junaluska. Once you get down the drive way and cross the street you are on the trail around the lake. Place and amenities were as stated in the posting.If you are not familiar with Lake Junaluska its a great place to stay and has well maintained grounds to take a walk on the trails or in the neighborhood!

Not at all what we expected

The listing did not clearly state the house had an upper part and lower part. When we arrived we noticed another car unloading planning to stay in the lower part of the house. The house smelled of moth balls, the furniture was ripped and the toilet was stopped up. There was no sense of security since the people that were staying down stairs were family members of the owners, we were unable to lock the door to the garage to and from the upper part of the house. We did not feel safe.

This property is a duplex-style home with an upper and lower level. While this is noted in the listing, we understand the importance of clear and prominent communication, and we’ll be updating the listing to better reflect this detail for future guests. Both levels have private entrances, and the lower unit is occasionally used by family members of the owner. While the garage door connecting the spaces does not currently lock, we are actively working on a solution to improve guest privacy and peace of mind. We also want to reassure future guests that concerns about odor, furnishings, or maintenance are taken seriously. Our team has addressed the issues mentioned, and it's worth noting that a previous guest who stayed in both the upper and lower levels of Llyn Blaen did not report any of these concerns. That said, we value every piece of feedback and strive to make each stay as comfortable as possible. While this experience was not what you expected, we were glad to be able to quickly relocate you to another home—Wild Peace. While it’s not located at Lake Junaluska, it is a guest favorite for its peaceful setting and thoughtful design. We hope it provided a more enjoyable rest of your visit. Thank you again for your comments, and we sincerely wish you all the best in your future travels.
