The house was clean, the beds were comfortable every you needed was there. We had a very relaxing stay and the location was great. Close to Fort Walton Beach, Eglin AFB, Destin and Crestview. It is very pet friendly! We absolutely loved this location as it was exaxtly as advertised! The host is fabulous!
Host was great and location was perfect. In town for NWF Softball opening season. Great kitchen, comfy beds and the hot water in the shower was awesone!
The house is exactly as pictured, the neighborhood is quiet, neighbors are friendly. It’s spotlessly clean. Hazel has done a wonderful job of creating a comfortable home away from home. We would definitely reserve again.

Thank you for your kind words. I hope you all made it home safe.
We thought the house was lovely, in a nice neighborhood, and very comfortable, nicely decorated, and clean. We especially liked the back yard area for coffee in the morning. Great communication from our host. We would definitely stay there again!
Visited with my husband and dogs. The property was perfect. Very comfortable. Neighborhood friendly and quiet. The host was very responsive and the rental process was easy. Will stay again.
Clean, well kept home. Quiet neighborhood. Convenient to shopping and beach. Hazel, host, is very responsive to queries, takes pride in her well kept home and did make our month’s stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The home was extremely clean and the beds were super comfortable. The owner thought of everything. There were plenty of clean linens and the kitchen was well supplied. The owner was very quick to respond to any messages that we sent to her. From booking to checkout, we had an amazing experience. We would definitely book this home again and will not hesitate to recommend it to our friends and family.
We were visiting family in Niceville over the Christmas holiday with our dog. Fenced back yard and no carpet in the house made for a great stay with a dog. Beautiful updated kitchen, very comfortable couch and recliners. Hazel was great to communicate with and very responsive to our questions. Would stay again.
Property was clean and host was great to work with. The doors close and lock automatically and I did get concerned about getting locked out if I didn’t remember the code or bring my phone outside. Other than that it was a very nice place.
Everything about this home was perfect.I would have loved the floor to be cleaner as a have a toddler but besides that, the backyard was perfect. The property manager communicated with me every step of the way and even checked up on us during our stay. The experience of the home was a mixture between hotel, airbnb and home away from home! The location was great despite the traffic from time to time, the neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors were very polite. This home was fitting for a family, which also include games, guitar, grill in the back, comfortable furniture and bedding , also so many streaming sites, which includes Apple TV as well. I would definitely stay at this home again
House was great. Plenty of room for family. Had a great kitchen to use, living room had plenty of space for people to sit. Nice the house had beach items for us to use. My only complaint would be the air conditioner was loud & hard to hear TV.

Quick history lesson on Niceville!
Niceville has one of the more interesting histories on Florida’s Emerald Coast. Long before it became known for its excellent schools and proximity to Eglin Air Force Base, it was a small fishing and lumber community called Boggy.
Early history
* Thousands of years before European settlement, Native American peoples lived around what is now Boggy Bayou and Choctawhatchee Bay. Archaeological finds, including projectile points and burial mounds, show the area has been inhabited for millennia. * In the 1840s, English immigrant William Nathey settled near the head of Boggy Bayou. He later built a gristmill in 1857, helping establish one of the area’s earliest permanent settlements.
The town of “Boggy”
* The community originally took its name from Boggy Bayou, where fishing—especially mullet—was the backbone of the local economy. * During the Civil War, the area saw activity from both Union and Confederate forces because of nearby salt works and waterways. Families from the community fought on both sides. * A post office opened on July 21, 1868, which is considered Niceville’s official founding date.
Why did Boggy become Niceville?
In the early 1900s, residents felt the name “Boggy” gave visitors the wrong impression. Despite having beautiful, clear bayou waters, the name sounded muddy and unattractive. On November 5, 1910, the town officially became Niceville. According to local tradition, the new name was suggested by the postmaster’s daughter because it simply sounded “nice.”
What makes this property unique
About 90% of the home I have renovated, from the patios outside to the tile floor, and the kitchen. Lots of sweat equity in my first home I’ve ever owned.
