About this property
Spacious bungalow with rural views & vintage charm
Soak up the rural quiet and nostalgic charm of this newly renovated bungalow on farmland in the central Shenandoah Valley. You'll find good books, a well stocked retro kitchen, an attic for kids to play in, and peaceful rural views.
The bungalow is on a rural lane surrounded by fields and meadows. Sounds you might hear: the song of meadowlarks morning and evening, a rooster crowing on a nearby farm, a tractor making hay, the neighboring barn owl at night, and the occasional vehicle rolling by on the gravel road.
Quiet gravel lanes lead in three directions -- good for a walk to the mill, over the hill, or for birdwatching over on Joe's Creek. We're happy to share our favorite local bike ride routes, as well. Although the surroundings feel entirely rural, it's only a five-minute drive to Harrisonburg and ten minutes to downtown dining and shopping. One of the best local farm stands is conveniently on the way to town, or the Friendly City Food Co-op, another source for local abundance, is ten minutes beyond.
