Hippies Retreat!! Self check in with a door code and let the Good Vibes and Adventures begin! Our place is designed for guests with an open mind, free spirit and great Hippie sense of humor. You will have a Groovy pad to land after exploring the U.P. and are only minutes from Indianhead, Blackjack, Big Powderhorn & Mt. Zion Ski hills. A bit further away, but worth the drive, are Whitecap Mountain and Porcupine Mountains. Also, close to ABR x-c skiing, the Iron Belle Trail, and Lake Superior.
The space
The Happy Hippie Shack was built around 1909 and is one of the only single family dwellings left nestled in Downtown Ramsay across from the park and next door to the local pub. The Groovy beads, Vibrant colors and Tapestries will make you smile, chill out and enjoy every room.
The retro character of this house creates an inviting and warm space with 2 bedrooms with comfy beds.

We even added some fun retro records for you to play or take a turn on the keyboard to create your own music. Lots of photo Ops inside and out. Why not have a bit of fun inside as well as outside! Let the Good Times Roll!
We ask our guest to please not smoke inside the shack but you are welcome to inside the back porch.

Perfect place to chill

This vibrantly colored house has lots of warmth and character, unlike anywhere else we have stayed. It's the perfect size for 3-4 people. The kitchen has everything you need for family dinners but if you are in the mood for fine dining Jagger's Ore House is just a 1-minute walk away and surprisingly good. We got more than a foot of snow during our stay and the driveway was always plowed by the time we got home. The instruments and record player offer a nice entertainment alternative to electronic devices. Randy is a responsive and helpful host. We definitely plan to stay here again!
