This place was great for our ski trip. There were five of us and the dog, so it would have been good to have more than one bathroom…but it was not a big inconvenience. Location was perfect. Everything we needed.
This was a great home base to ski, hike and explore waterfalls. The host was very responsive. The kitchen had everything we needed. We would love to return!

Thank you so much for the lovey review. Happy our getaway place was as welcoming to your family as it is ours.
Was an Amazing stay, would recommend staying, this place is right next to really beautiful waterfalls, and other scenic places, might go back soon honestly. There was some wasp nest which im deathly allergic to, but that was literally the only downside but other than that it was amazing

Thank you for the review Brandon. I’m happy you enjoyed all there is to do. With all guests, we appreciate real time feedback so we can address the problem right away. We will certainly take care of the hornets as we keep bee/wasp killer there for those late summer pests looking to make their home. Thanks again for l staying & we hope to see you back for more exploring.
The owner was beyond helpful and quick to respond to any questions/concerns we had during our stay.
The property was well-kept and ready for us when we arrived. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with the essentials for the entirety of our stay. My children especially appreciated the treats left to us in the welcome basket.
I highly recommend this property for families and couples.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We love hearing how families enjoy our little getaway home as much as we do!
This place has a well stocked kitchen (appliances and spices), roomy couch for lounging, and space for our family of four to spread out. Kristy was helpful and responds quickly.
Just a short hop to the UPs endless snowmobile trails. Enjoyed 3 days of sledding in great snow conditions knowing we had a comfortable end for each adventure. Glad to have off street parking for 2 trucks with trailers and enough room to park sleds in front of the house.I'd do it again!!
Great location in western UP between Bessemer and Ironwood; close to Lake Superior and Porcupine Mountains. Kitchen equipped with all necessary utensils; cooked most of the time. Very relaxing time. Woods across the street and in back. Quiet street. Would return to this rental if in western UP again, especially in winter with all the ski resorts in the area.

Thank you for the great review Robert. We love all the activities in the area throughout the year! Spring waterfalls, summer beach time, fall foliage and winter snowfall accumulations are tremendous! Come again anytime!
First impression was this house was very clean. No musty smells! We were very thrilled on how close to town and adventures this home is. Comfortable for our 6 with plenty of room to still stretch out. When adventures were rained out, this house said the fun is on the inside too. We played scrabble way past midnight. Lots of fun we had just playing games inside. Would stay here again.

Thank you for the great review. One of our favorite things about going up north is that we tend to play games at the end of our days of adventure. Great family time-happy to hear it was for yours too!
Perfect spot to stay and ski / snowmobile. Highly recommend!

About the host
Hosted by Kristy Widmann
I am a full time Mom of 4 and a part time registered nurse. We bought this house for a weekend get away and can't get enough of the Bessemer area! Our family of 6 fits easily into the open concept lower level but we don't spend much time at the house because there is so much to see and do. Our favorite places to visit are Black River Harbor-Lake Superior with stops to see the many falls on the way, Presque Isle River and waterfalls, Copper Peak, and Sunday Lake. We also love tube sledding at Mt. Zion and snowshoeing through the incredible amount of snow that falls here.
Why they chose this property
We bought this home from it's original owner that built it for his family in the 1950's. We have updated it throughout and continue to make improvements as we go.
What makes this property unique
LOCATION is everything! Close to miles of biking, hiking & snowmobile trails. Waterfalls to see and great lakes and waterways for your kayaking/canoeing adventures.
