Just finished in 2023, the unique and upscale Pepper Tree Cottage offers an authentic Alaskan experience and a stunning view of the Kenai Mountains. This 425-square-foot cottage is only 10 minutes away from the heart of Seward--just far enough for a peaceful getaway while still having easy access to everything the town has to offer. New in 2024, a private deck with a beautiful outdoor dining area, an abundance of flowers and plants, and mountain views; all a step away from the woods!

The space
This cottage is full of custom design details and carefully thought-out amenities to make your stay as cozy as possible. Pairing antique accents, like wood floors and cedar detailing, with brand-new electric appliances and modern utilities, this space is both stylish and practical. Our location allows you to enjoy beautiful scenery while barbecuing, sitting by the fire-pit, or lying in bed gazing at the mountains On a quick walk around the Camelot neighborhood, you'll see a variety of Alaskan flora and fauna and get a taste of what life is like for Seward locals. Wake up with complimentary coffee, tea, and a deluxe continental breakfast that will be waiting for you in the cottage before leaving to explore Alaska. Breakfast items include muffins, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, fruit and biscotti. The Pepper Tree Cottage is the coziest spot for two people to enjoy a stay on the Kenai Peninsula.

Short Anniversary Stay

Very comfortable cabin in Seward!

The Pepper Tree cabin was very comfortable, cozy, and well stocked. It’s located in a very quiet and beautiful setting, and it was only a few minutes from the town of Seward. We would definitely stay there again!

Lovely and restful

The cabin was even better than expected. Lots of little amenities that made it a home away from home- breakfast, coffee creamer, kitchen supplies, (super cozy) bath robes, plenty of blankets, umbrellas, etc. We enjoyed the restful space and cozy atmosphere in a great location.

Cozy, relaxing, & easy to get to!

We loved our stay here and our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! The cottage is located near Seward and Kenai Fjords National Park so it was convenient to see the area and explore. We loved the size of the cottage. It was very comfortable for 2 people and we enjoyed having a full kitchen and fully stocked kitchen to cook some meals for ourselves.

Love this place.

So cute , clean and the owner left us lots of little goodies like fresh blueberry muffins, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, and microwave popcorn. Bed was comfortable and it was great to sit in front of the electric fireplace in the robe provided, after a long day hiking in the rain. Bonus was a beautiful view of the mountains. Could not ask for anything more!

Cute cabin

First time to cabin can be confusing with all the “ take a right, take a left” but it’s easy once you’ve driven it a couple times. The cabin was nicely decorated with flowers and goodie’s in the fridge for your enjoyment. Overall it’s a nice quiet cabin just outside of Seward.

Cutest cottage ever

Tammy was an amazing host! The property is very clean and catered to hosting guests. She had an easy, complimentary breakfast provided, robes, chocolates, coffee/tea, to-go cups, etc. Everything possible you could think of! When we arrived the cottage was warm and inviting with the fireplace already turned on, and mood lighting was set upon arrival as well. There was a fire pit and grill (we didn’t end up using since it was a quick trip). Follow Tammy’s directions because maps doesn’t work to get you there. Mato road isn’t labeled at the first turn (but should be able to tell the road continuing is more driveway like than road) The driveway is steep (but our little car made it during the summer months). This cottage is not wheel-chair accessible.

I spent a summer in Seward 30 years ago and haven't left since! I've spent the last few decades loving Alaska and building out my home with my husband, kids, and grandkids. The cottage is our most recent project and I' excited to share it with you!

Why they chose this property

The Camelot neighborhood is very quiet and wooded. On just a short walk around the neighborhood, you’ll see lots of Alaskan flora and fauna, especially in late summer. You might even see some wildlife out enjoying our long summer days.

What makes this property unique

Our cottage is designed to be very unique with its antique-inspired accents and upscale decor. Pepper Tree Cottage has its own private driveway and is the perfect spot for two to enjoy a quiet stay. We proudly offer a complimentary continental breakfast for our guests and strive to provide the most cozy experience in town!
