Luxury River Retreat is a one-of-a-kind vacation rental offering where five-star hospitality meets the serenity of a private riverfront sanctuary, set on three beautifully landscaped acres along the Truckee River. Designed for discerning travelers who value privacy, craftsmanship, and elevated indoor-outdoor living, this exceptional vacation rental delivers an immersive Tahoe experience defined by nature, comfort, and refined luxury.

From the moment you arrive, the sense of space and tranquility is unmistakable. Sprawling manicured gardens, expansive green lawns, and mature landscaping surround the home, creating a peaceful setting that feels worlds away yet remains close to Palisades Tahoe, Lake Tahoe, and the region’s year-round recreation. Meandering paths and open lawn areas invite morning walks, outdoor games, and quiet moments spent listening to the river just beyond the trees. With direct access to the Truckee River, guests can step outside to enjoy fly fishing, riverside lounging, or simply soaking in the sights and sounds of flowing water—an increasingly rare luxury in the Tahoe region.

The outdoor living spaces are designed to rival a private resort. An expansive patio serves as the central gathering area, thoughtfully appointed with upscale exterior furnishings that encourage lingering afternoons and evenings outdoors. A built-in fire pit and dual-sided gas fireplace provide warmth and ambiance as the sun sets, while a built-in BBQ makes al fresco dining effortless. The swimming pool, equipped with a locked and weighted electronic cover, offers both peace of mind and year-round enjoyment, complemented by a built-in hot tub nestled into a serene corner of the property—perfect for star-filled nights or post-adventure relaxation.

Inside, the home reflects the same level of thoughtful curation and refinement. Bedrooms are dressed in Frette linens, delivering exceptional comfort and hotel-quality sleep, while spa-inspired bathrooms elevate daily routines with Toto Washlet electronic bidet toilets with heated seats and Aesop shampoo and soap, bringing a boutique-hotel experience into every stay.

At the heart of the residence is a beautifully appointed kitchen designed for both everyday use and elevated entertaining. Outfitted with Gaggenau appliances, Poggenpohl kitchen items, Global knives, and professional-grade All-Clad pots, pans, and utensils, it is perfectly suited for preparing everything from casual breakfasts to multi-course meals. A Nespresso machine ensures mornings begin effortlessly, while curated tabletop pieces—including Homegaard glassware, Heath Ceramic home goods, and William Sonoma plates and bowls—set the stage for memorable dining moments. For larger events or hosted experiences, a commercial-grade kitchen located in the garage offers an ideal setup for private chefs or catering teams.

The formal dining room is a destination in itself, featuring a gas fireplace, abundant natural light, a spectacular chandelier, and spacious seating for up to 12 guests, creating an elegant backdrop for celebrations, holidays, and unforgettable evenings shared around the table.

Guests consistently love this home for its rare combination of privacy, space, and effortless livability. Families and groups appreciate how the expansive lawn and gardens allow everyone to spread out—children playing freely outdoors while adults relax nearby—without ever feeling disconnected. Entertainers are drawn to the seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, where hosting feels intuitive rather than staged, whether it’s a catered dinner, a casual barbecue, or cocktails by the fire as the river hums softly in the background. Many guests remark on how the home feels both grand and deeply comfortable, offering the polish of a luxury resort without sacrificing the warmth and ease of a private retreat. And time and again, visitors note that mornings by the Truckee River, evenings in the hot tub under the stars, and long meals shared in the dining room become the moments they remember most—often inspiring return visits year after year.

Every aspect of Luxury River Retreat is designed to create a seamless connection between indoor comfort and outdoor beauty. Whether you’re hosting a gathering on the lawn, enjoying a quiet afternoon by the river, soaking in the hot tub beneath the stars, or exploring nearby trails and slopes, the property offers a rare combination of privacy, space, and direct riverfront access.

Perfectly positioned near Palisades Tahoe, Lake Tahoe, and the Truckee River corridor, this extraordinary home offers the best of mountain adventure and peaceful retreat. Luxury River Retreat is more than a vacation rental—it is a riverfront estate designed for those who seek space, serenity, and uncompromising quality in the heart of Tahoe.

Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors.

Lights Out: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week. Per the Ordinance: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors.

You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio.

Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP here: https://bit.ly/3IKiY7n

Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.

Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.

Office Holiday Hours
The TLUXP office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding.

Phenomenal

The house is in a wonderful location. It is convenient from the Reno airport and close to Truckee, Olympic Village and Lake Tahoe. We were provided with every amenity one would need. The property manager met us at check in and showed us all of the great features of the house. Our favorite features were the pool, hot tub, wet and dry saunas, the large kitchen, the fire pit and of course the beautiful view of the river. This is the best rental we have ever had.
