We came for a wedding, and couldn’t have found a better place to stay. Vanessa was so helpful, and the place was spotless and in a convenient location, thanks again!
We were both impressed on how clean it was, loved the back view, and great attention to detail on the theme of the home. It was in a convenient location to downtown. We highly recommend eating at Nola’s, going to the Gathering Place, and the Center of the Universe.
With a quick road trip to Tulsa to see Wicked with my husband and our 15yo daughter, we were looking for something close to downtown (restaurants, performing arts center) that would give us plenty of room to relax and enjoy. This house is EXACTLY that. I couldn't believe it was a five minute drive to a fantastic restaurant for dinner (we loved The Tavern) - and close enough to drive back before the show to stow some yummy leftovers in the fridge. We loved the whole space, from the turntable, albums, games and decor to the wonderful kitchen, comfy beds, luscious treetops from the deck and high quality fixtures throughout. It's clear that the owner/host cares a lot about this property, which made it extra special. Getting home late after the show, we did notice the thermostat/air conditioning didn't quite seem to be cooling the house down the way it should. Vanessa was so quick to respond, even if it wasn't something that could be properly fixed at that late hour. We stayed comfortable through the night with the fans in the house and a reboot of the thermostat. I have no doubt Vanessa had it checked out and serviced before the next guests arrived. I could have easily stayed for a week or more in this place. Thank you for a wonderful overnight. I hope we have the chance to come back and stay even longer.
This place was awesome! My daughter LOVED the retro decor and it was cute. Very comfortable beds and living room. It is a wonderful place and quaintly decorated. I loved it and would for sure stay there again.
Nicely updated home in a neighborhood close to downtown.
Easy to find, parking is in the driveway of the home. Check-in was simple with a code on the front door. Very clean and comfortable, 2 bedroom & 1 full bathroom. The decor was fun and nostalgic, a lot of time went in to making this place look good. Beds were comfortable and we slept great. I would definitely enjoy staying here again.
My partner and I were only here for one night, but we absolutely loved it! Everything was perfect, down to the last detail. Extremely clean and comfortable - and all the mid-century kitsch was so fun. The only downside was that the hot water in the shower seemed to run out pretty quickly, but we were not bothered by it. We would definitely stay here again next time we come to Tulsa!
There for a bike race. I worried at first about the size but once the it was great. Cool decor, clean and interior was really well done! Talons to the owner at check- she was friendly, helpful- great experience!
Just as described. Mid-century vibes galore. Very clean. Great kitchen. Easily accommodates four adults. With a deck off each bedroom, you couldn't ask for a more relaxing bungalow.
A lovely little home that was perfectly located for our trip. So much attention to 50s detail!! We Especially enjoyed looking at the old magazines and the advertising in them. The place was spotless. The beds were comfortable. The only thing we had to complain about was that it was so stinking hot outside! When we come to Tulsa again, we hope we can stay there again. Thank you, Vanessa, for your hospitality!
We loved everything about this property. The attention to detail was on point. And everything down to the smallest decor/dishware/furniture was authentic and true vintage.
Just minutes from downtown, however, it felt very suburbia quiet with the old growth neighborhood. The house sits up a level from the back so it is very restful to lookout onto tree tops.
Thanks for a great weekend stay! We will be back!
Staycation after Christmas festivities. Loved the throwback interior design and the old time candies. The view off the balcony was great for birdwatching and skyviews. The beds were comfy and the home was stocked with several extras. The hostess was phenomenal as well as property overall. She made sure we gained access to property quickly and she kindly provided us with veggies to make our homemade chicken pot pie! Much appreciated. We will definitely be back.
I had a fantastic 5-day stay at this wonderful house! My trip was a solo getaway to recharge and write some music. The mid-century decor and vibe was simply impeccable. Every period detail was considered, even down to the books, magazines, and old-school candy! Everything was perfect. The back deck was a great place to read in the late evenings- I had perfect lighting from a full moon that was a pleasant distraction from my book and music. The property backs up to a wooded area with tall trees (probably also dating back to the ‘50s) that provided a quiet secluded sense and a bit of privacy away from the city. Vannessa is a fantastic host and has made this place a Tulsa gem. I’ll definitely be coming back!
