Set at a wide bend on the South Fork Skykomish River, this darling cabin is a great destination for creatives or those seeking a peaceful meditation retreat. Head out for a hike on the Lake Serene/Bridal Veil trailhead located less than a mile from this property or venture out a bit to discover a number of other local attractions including shopping and dining in the town of Index, the Great Northern & Cascade Railway, Wallace Falls State Park, and Stevens Pass for hiking, biking, skiing, and snowboarding.

Step into the full kitchen and whip up perfect breakfasts or full-course dinners with the help of a full array of appliances. Dine at the adjacent table or head outside and indulge in an al fresco experience within view of the river. Spend your afternoons fishing from the riverbank, tubing in an eddy, or catching a few winks in the hammock out front. In the evenings, gather around the firepit where you can share stories, roast marshmallows, and watch the stars come out, or head indoors and play a few board games.

4/10 Poor

Jamie M.

Not as expected
Was able to walk to river and see the salmon spawning. The shower had great water pressure and lots of windows to see out. Bed was too hard thank goodness had air mattress in car. Floor Unleven so when walking if you have bad legs like myself you fall. It's above river not at river and have to climb down cliff side to get to river. House was cold unless had wood fire going. Outdoor fireplace is right next to cliff side so if you get smoke you can't move around. All the furniture was hard as a rock so couldn't just sit and relax. You have to have a fob to get in and out. Have to walk a short distance to cabin and it's soggy and muddy and full of branches. Wifi was good. Was pretty clean for most part. You have to pack you trash out with you so any garbage codlffee grounds ect you have to put in your car to take.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities
All furniture was so hard beside a chair couldnt sit on them beds same. We used air mattress from car so could sleep. Not on ruver but above river with a steep walkway made of tires leading to ruver. Property really needs maintenance. And electrical updated as it sparked when tried to plug in charger. Light switch neews wiggled to shut iff all light nit just half. Muddy and driveway was full of roots making hard to walk on. Floor was at 2 levels covered with carpeting making it unable to see the slight step so you fall over it. There were paper towels in window assume from cleaning and under beds needed cleaned. The river view is blocked by trees as well. Room was too small to walk around bed and cabinet over head so will hit head whwn get out of bed.
