We had a sibling trip and the house was just what we needed with room to spread out and gather together. The mattresses are comfortable and the house was clean. Beautiful views! The layout of the bathroom upstairs is a little strange but functional. Overall, it was the perfect house for a perfect weekend!
We absolutely loved our week vacation with our 2 adult children and their spouses. The location is excellent for touring all that Whidbey Island has to offer. Michael was a superb host, he had lots of information for us...we could not have been happier!!
This property is perfect for a holiday on Whidbey Island. We used it as a base to visit our friends who live on the island and easy access to the beach and other island exploration. We had dinner one night for a group of 8 and we all easily had room to enjoy. We used the outdoor deck BBQ which was in excellent condition. The kitchen was well equipped with the basics. We liked the setup of the home as we were 2 couples staying and we each had our own "suits" up and down stairs with the common area in between. There is room for more people and other common areas but that is what we had for this review.
This was a beautiful property with very comfortable furnishings. The kitchen and laundry room had everything you might need. Perfect for a family (our youngest is 5). We would love to stay again. Thank you!!
I would give 6 stars if it was available! The house is so lovely, great flow, all the furnishings are tasteful, and the view is amazing. It may change in spring summer when the deciduous trees have leaves. Easy walk to the beach. Short drive to Langley, which is a lovely town for food, art and shopping. Would stay again for sure!
This was a great home. Plenty of open, airy spaces. Beautiful views. All of the furniture was comfortable. They had all the kitchen amenities we needed. They even had a cabinet full of games and puzzles, that we enjoyed. The hosts were friendly and thr instructions were clear and simple. We are saving this for future weekend getaways with our friends.
We had such a wonderful stay! The house was immaculate—so clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. The modern decor made it feel fresh and inviting. The flowers and landscaping were absolutely beautiful. On our first morning, we spotted a deer just outside the kitchen window. Later, we watched a harbor seal playing peek-a-boo as it swam back and forth from buoy to buoy at the private beach. The neighborhood was equally charming. Everyone we encountered while out walking was friendly and welcoming, even stopping to chat while out with their dogs.Michael was a fantastic host—very responsive and helpful. Thank you, Michael, for allowing us to stay at this amazing place.
My friends and I had a great weekend stay in this property. It is walking distance to the beach. The house is well stocked with items we needed to use to cook and grill. It is also a few minutes away from the Langley city center. The house is also as described and pictured.
The property managers are very responsive as well.
I would recommend staying here!
Beautiful home, great location. Beware of beach, there are spots of quicksand nearer the water at low tide!! I know. I sunk in quickly and had to crawl to safety.
All 6 of us had a wonderful stay on Whidbey Island! It was so easy to take the Mukilteo ferry to Clinton then drive to the house. We enjoyed using the movie theatre in the house in the evenings and then running to the local doughnut shop in the mornings for a quick breakfast. We spent many hours running around the beach and having fun and making memories. The house was beautiful and was the perfect stay for 6 people! The hosts were so kind and we can't wait to stay again in the future.
Beautiful house in a beautiful location with great views. Home was very comfortable, well appointed and had everything we needed. However, it was not a great choice for young children - open stairs, lots of light which made naps and early bedtimes difficult (we managed to hit a very sunny weekend) and no bathtub. Our fault. We made it work and had a great time. Hopefully, we can return someday. Thank you for sharing this wonderful property.
The Beach House is a wonderful getaway on scenic Whidbey Island.
The house is located in a quiet neighborhood about 25 minutes from the Clinton ferry terminal. The towns of Langley and Freeland have the closest restaurants and grocery stores.
The house interior is spacious and it includes a well-equipped kitchen and laundry room. The house has amazing views of Camano Island, the Saratoga passage as well as Mt Baker. A variety of viewpoints are scattered at different levels of the house. Some of the large windows have no curtains which might be an issue during longer days however it was not an issue during our stay.
The neighborhood beach is a short distance downhill. The hosts provided instructions ahead of time. We did not encounter any issues that required reaching out to them during our stay.
The house was very clean and well maintained. It is a beautiful home and has a lovely view. The neighborhood was very peaceful. There were lots of houses but felt very private. Each floor has its own bathroom, bedroom, and living space, so it allows for guests to be together or to have some space. We had grandparents, a 14 year old, a 10 year old, and myself, so the combination/floor plan worked well. The stairs to the basement were somewhat steep but there is also a bedroom on the main level if stairs are an issue. My kids thought the Lego flower arrangement was really cool and I loved the beautiful felted wool sunflowers and coasters. Beach access is close and it’s a nice beach. The hill is pretty steep though and does a switchback. We made it part way down and decided to send someone back for the car! It’s definitely doable and short in distance but steep and we had already spent most of the day hiking around. My kids would have complained a lot about going back up! :) I appreciated that there weren’t a ton of cleaning requirements, especially since checkout is 10am. Overall it was a lovely stay. Great location, relaxing and luxurious.
