Fantastic location, luxurious details, communicative host
Beautiful and high end property that claimed to let you walk to everything… and it delivered. I was shocked that everything was so walkable. We still ended up having one person drive us and our skis to the resort drop off area so we didn’t have small kids trying to carry skis to the gondola. I did the walk to the gondola up to the ski base area and it really was easy. There’s lots of fancy stuff in this house which makes it feel really awesome. I’d definitely worry about kids breaking something if you have small and rambunctious children (ours are pretty chill), but I’d imagine most families with that situation wouldn’t look at as high end of a listing as this. My only nit pick (and this is a tiny nit, it really is a great place) is that the bathrooms have automatic lights that turn on when you enter and they are BRIGHT; there’s no switch that I could find to turn them off. I was having some time zone/sleeping issues and when I’d make a middle of the night trip, the light would make it a little harder to fall back asleep. I really thought the decor was beautiful and their art TVs were nifty. The espresso machine was an easy YouTube tutorial to learn how to make my own latte (was delicious). We fit an Audi Q7 and a sedan in the garage with no issue. The kids made ample use of the sleds in the garage at the nearby sledding hill (we drove them there, but is walkable if you want). For those curious about things to do, the goldmine, dog sledding, and escape room were great!
