Kitchen had most of what we needed to cook dinner. Not a good selection of pots, but we made do. Lots of nice plates & bowls & glassware. The refrigerator made a weird noise very time we opened & closed the door. Strange layout of the bathroom on first floor away from the bedroom on the first floor. Quiet, living room comfortable, nice bedrooms with nicely furnished bathrooms/towels. Quiet area.
This was a perfect place for our "young-at-heart" girls' trip! The 4 bedrooms, (3 upstairs and 1 on the main level,) were great. The kitchen had everything we needed and was very clean. The house has a lot of character with a huge dining room table, a large living room downstairs, a family room upstairs, and a nice little seating area at the back of the house, so there are lots of spaces to spread out. The downstairs bathroom has a nice shower, and the bathroom upstairs has tub/shower. Both were very clean. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, but close enough to the shops and tourist sites that we could walk. Our host was quick to reply when I had a question about locking the door. This would be a wonderful house for larger families. We enjoyed our visit very much!
We had a small issue with a week battery in a smoke detector and the host got it taken care of it the same day we reported it. We were there for the birth of our first great grandchild and the house served our needs. It was a very comfortable and quiet place to stay. The host was very professional and very friendly. If I am in the area again in the future. I will check to see if it is available and would recommend it to others.
I booked the Indigo house for a girls getaway weekend // bachelorette trip. The house was amazing, spacious, clean, and welcoming. The dining room table and living room are both huge - perfect for entertaining.
I would absolutely book this house again. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful with providing ideas and things to do in town.
So convenient to downtown and historic sites. We used th library next door to research family roots in Hannibal. Had breakfast at Becky’s every day. A lovely dinner at LaBinnah to top off our stay.
Our adult children thought it was one of their favorite rental. It was very close to main street, about 3 blocks. We were here for the Big River Steampunk Festival.
The house was very spacious, floors not very clean, if you went barefoot bottom of feet very dirty. Very spacious dining room, but kitchen not equipped for cooking, very little cookware. The first floor shower head had terrible pressure and could barely get soap off. There was plenty of space, and beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was a little bit sketchy.
This house is incredibly beautiful. It has been so beautifully preserved from its natural beauty, with all the modern amenities. Its truly a beautiful historic home. It was 100% clean!!!
My husband, myself, our son, daughter, son-in-law and 11 month old grandson stayed one night in Hannibal. The location was good, home was clean with nice size bedrooms. One bedroom and bathroom were on the main level. There are several steps to the second level which was fine or us, but if you have difficulty with steps be aware. The water pressure was not very strong when taking a shower, but worked for us.
Our family has been coming here for the last few years to celebrate Thanksgiving with my mother. It has been a wonderful place to celebrate the holidays. There is enough room for everyone to spread out and we have been able to put together great meals for the group. We enjoy being close to downtown. We plan to continue coming here for the holidays.
A beautiful old house with charm. The master does not get real dark, so if you want a darker room, go to the bedroom upstairs at the front. There are a few little steps at the lip of the upstairs bathroom, that you need to be careful not to trip, especially at night, but everything was as advertised and perfect.
Family gathered from east, west, and middle US for my father’s memorial and stayed in several different places. This was a joyous gathering as he had lived a good long life leaving us with many happy memories to share. We had Saturday dinner at Indigo house which easily accommodated the 25-30 of us for a pot luck buffet of bbq burgers, salmon and oven baked short ribs finished on the grill. The huge table and long benches really made a difference as we brought a bench and kitchen chairs to the living room for conversation and reminiscing while the kids had a great time playing upstairs. For those needing respite from the joyous chaos, the little sitting room off the kitchen was ideal. It was just a short 6-7 block walk downtown to Java Jive’s 25th anniversary street celebration with live music. A Saturday cruise on the Mark Twain Riverboat provided an additional relaxing and interesting venue for our large group. There are numerous shops downtown for a wide range of tastes. We stumbled upon the Hannibal Arts Council on the way. It is on Main between Church and Broadway. They have a gallery displaying/selling the work of many wonderful local artists. Everyone we met along the way was pleasant and welcoming. All in all a perfect place!!
Niece came from Utah, Mom from Colorado, son & family from Coffey, MO and we are from Gentry. We absolutely loved the house and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. We will definitely rent again.
