VRBO DALLAS
Overall it was a good stay. The apartment was safe and quiet. The amenities were satisfactory.
I was disappointed with the dark hallways and cracked concrete floors. The paint on the ceiling of our apartment was pealing and some paint fell off during our stay. The directions on how to get in the door to the building could have been better.
It would be nice to have a small shelf in the shower in the main bedroom.
Overall a very nice place but there are some serious issues. The kitchen was not well stocked. No wine glasses or cork screw. Only one kitchen towel. No batheroom mat so stepped out of shower on to cold ceramic tile. The valet parking was terrible. It took up to 45 minutes to drop off the car, they stopped texting when they received the car so there was NO way to request the car in advance. It was freezing cold outside and no where to stand that was warm. Also the advertised game room wasn't ever open even though there was staff there. They lied about "closing early" when it was only 11:00am on a Friday. The owner response to my questions was fantastic and even when I texted very late at night, they replied immediately. I would stay here again but not use the valet parking!!!
Without a doubt, our worst experience ever:
1. The smell in the building made all of us sick and good luck if you have allergies.
2. We only had one working shower. They knew our shower was broken but didn’t send anyone to fix it until the afternoon before we left.
3. One towel for each guest! Just one! No bath mat. No laundry detergent to wash the ONE towel.
4. Bathtub that wasn’t working - they didn’t notify us. It was dirty. Everything in the place felt dirty to us.
5. One pillow per person per bed. Stains on sheets.
6. Check in was later than we were promised and we couldn’t get in for hours and when we tried, the code was wrong. NIGHTMARE for us. We couldn’t get in until 10 on check in night.
7. Neighborhood is sketchy at best. Not safe to walk around at night.
8. Valet is a challenge.
9. No bathroom shelf or ledge to put your soap/shampoo on. Only soap provided was the size of a quarter.
10. The one working shower has a curtain that sticks to you as you shower because the curtain isn't the right size.
11.Pictures are not accurate from what we saw. Kitchen table is all cracked.
12. No extra sheets and the beds are horribly uncomfortable.
13. Couch and couch pillows were stained.
14. Bedroom blinds issues
It honestly felt like we were staying in a hostel. I have never experienced anything like this with a VRBO property.
We would like our money back. We have stayed at countless VRBOs either our on own or as guests and are just flabbergasted at our experience here.
We stayed at the property for 4 nights over spring break with our teenage daughter. The property was great and gave us the space we desired. We walked downtown for site seeing and food options. We took the free M-Line trolley to other areas, the stop was a few blocks away. We also visited Dallas Farmers Market a couple blocks from the property. For someone who typically does not want to use vallet parking, it was great. We didn’t have to wait long for our car. The drivers were friendly. In regard to other reviews, there were a few homeless in the area, but we never felt bothered or unsafe. We did not use the kitchen for cooking, but there are a few basic supplies for use. There is some light pollution at night from the city lights if you are sensitive to this, but was not an in issue for us. The host was easy to contact and quick to respond to any of our needs. We would stay at the property again.
