Come vacation at Altitude Blue Ridge formerly known as The Flight Deck! This is a beautiful custom cabin with amazing views, built in 2019. Relax in luxury! The View Over Blue Ridge is a one of a kind View with stunning layers of mountains for miles on end. This property is perfect for couples retreats as we have 4 King Beds between the 4 bedrooms so no need for picking straws at this property. The living room located on the middle level which offers a cozy seating area with a gas fireplace, plush furnishings and a 65" 4K Ultra HD Flat Panel Television with Wifi TV and Netflix. The kitchen and dining area, which are both part of an open floor plan with the living room, offering views and luxurious amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped with all your cooking needs and appliances, a long butcher block style wooden bar, double oven, and a farm house style stainless sink exuding ultimate luxury. The property has a great grilling deck complete with a weber grill and a pellet smoker. The dining area is situated as if you were in a tree house with windows all around, offering seating for 8 with additional seating for 4 at the breakfast bar. Also on the main level you'll find the master bedroom offering a king bed and the spa like master bathroom, you have a large walk in shower and an amazing soaking tub complete with heated floors! On this level there is also a half bath for your convenience.

Located on the terrace level, you'll find another large King bed. The lower level den and Game room featuring a 65" 4K ultra HD TV with WiFi TV and Netflix, a bar complete seating, a sink and mini drink refrigerator. Also located on this level is the recreation room which includes a pool table that converts into a ping pong table, and another room with an air hockey table. Off the Game room you will exit onto the large covered deck with a Spa Hot Tub, Outdoor hammock and corn hole game.

Upon walking up the stairs you will enter into a quaint little reading area with amazing mountain Views! The upper level of this home offers two more large bedrooms, both with King Beds. One bedroom features a queen loft area perfect for the kids, or an afternoon nap. Between the two bedrooms is a Jack-n-Jill style bathroom to share.

On the upper deck off the main level you can enjoy the breathtaking sunsets as you listen to the peaceful mountain streams nearby. The sunsets are forever changing the mountain views with every passing night. On the decks there is a partly covered area and it is adorned with an outdoor fireplace and a 65" 4K Flat Panel Television as well as cozy outdoor furniture all around. This cabin is equipped with all your vacation needs in mind in order to make your stay as effortless and glamorous as possible.
Please Note: You will need a 4-wheel drive or All-wheel drive to get up the driveway. However, the driveway is paved all the way up.

This place is exactly how it is pictured, beautiful! You can’t beat the gorgeous Mountain View’s! My only complaint is that the driveway is very steep and can be pretty difficult to get up and down from. This is no fault to the owners, but the cleaning crew that came before we arrived did leave behind some dirt/food crumbs in the kitchen area and around the steps, which was not a huge deal, but with a house this immaculate you would expect it to be spotless. All in all this cabin was an amazing place to stay at!

We had a wonderful family vacation at this beautiful home in Blue Ridge. The view from the property was absolutely incredible and made for some unforgettable mornings and evenings. The kitchen was well equipped, which made cooking meals easy and enjoyable. We did have a small issue with the internet, but the property manager was quick to respond and got it resolved right away. The driveway is VERY steep, so be prepared for that, especially if you’re arriving in the dark or with a larger vehicle. We when to the recommended Lost Sea Adventure and it didn’t disappoint. My 13 year old grand daughter loved the loft in the upstairs bedroom. Heat floors in the master suite was a plus. Overall, it was a great stay!

You are truly on the top of the mountain. Location to Blue Ridge and activities is great. The house is everything and more than what is represented. Well stocked kitchen. Game tables, TV/entertainment, hot tub all easy to work. Driveway a little scary but no issue for our AWD Subaru. Would stay

Fantastic cabin

Family of 4 traveled here for 5 days for spring break. More space than we needed but the location and view drew us to it. The cabin is fantastic. Well decorated, very clean, high end finishes through out. Well equipped kitchen. Close enough to town but plenty of privacy. The driveway was steep and I was anxious about it, but it was not a big deal. We had a V6 AWD SUV and didn't feel there wasn't enough power to go up the driveway. The hairpin turns along the last leg of the driveway was the most challenging because it was hard to see around the turn. Google maps is accurate and it helps if you review the road to understand how the turns are set up. Second time up was no problem. Look forward to coming back.

Exceptional Property and Management

We had a ladies’ weekend planned for several months, but Hurricane Helene threatened to derail the whole thing. Beginning two days before our arrival Ashley was in regular contact about our arrival date/time and the condition of the home. With the uncertainty of the weather she gave us options for changing our arrival date and check in time, and kept us updated on whether or not there was power at the house. Luckily the power came back while we were en route, and there was no storm damage to the house. The house is beautiful, comfortable and clean, and even better than the pictures. All of the furnishings are much nicer than you’d typically find in a rental. The rain kept us inside most of the weekend, but there is plenty of space for games, puzzles and watching movies. The beds were very comfortable. We will absolutely stay here again! The driveway is mentioned in several reviews and is VERY steep. Ashley had recommended only AWD vehicles, and I don’t know that a car without would’ve made it up the drive, but once you’re at the top it’s worth it!

Amazing Property

Our stay at this property was nothing less of spectacular! No expense was spared in this property, and it shows. Ashley was very responsive when needed, but was only to confirm property details. Would definitely stay at this cabin time and time again! The views were amazing, but please note every review of this property, the driveway is VERY steep, but the concrete is grooved which does help. We drove a 4wd 4Runner so there were no problems. However, a sedan or RWD vehicle would have some difficulty. Again, the views at the top were worth the drive up!

Amazing place! I’ll just make sure you have a four-wheel-drive or AWD to get up the driveway… it’s all concrete but steep :-) and the view was 100% worth it! it was the perfect place and we will be staying again. Also know if you have an electric SUV they do have a Nema 1450 port in the driveway which was really cool!

The View of all Views

We just got home from this beautiful home in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The house was perfect for our getaway with two other couples. We are at home searching the mattress that we slept on the past four nights, that’s how comfortable they were. The towels and sheets smelled cleaned and the house was spotless. The view from the decks can only be enjoyed after mastering the drive up to the house. If your rent a car, get an AWD and go wide on the turns…it does get easier every time and I promise the view and sunset is worth it!

Beautiful home with breathtaking views. 10 fireworks shows visible at the same time from the deck on 3 and 4 July. Well appointed and maintained and well stocked for cooking and such. Driveway was no problem for 2 front wheel drive cars and a 2 wheel drive pickup truck. Concrete driveway all the way up with traction grooves cut into it. Was no issue even when wet from rain. Loved it and will be back again soon!

Relaxing mountain top experience

Place was great. Beds were very comfortable and the view of the deck is fantastic. Know that oven doesn’t work but the owner has a portable one that worked fine. Yes, it is true, You need a AWD to get up the driveway. Your first time up to the house should be during daylight, Great house. Book it. You will love it.

Breathtaking views, wonderful cabin

Short drive from blue ridge to the best view of the whole area. Top of the mountains and amazing sunsets at the “Flight Deck”. (A bit of a tough but short car climb to the driveway is worth the trouble) Game room/ basement was awesome : air hockey, ping pong table , pool table, hot tub, etc. living area was wonderful and the deck incredible. Not much outdoor space on the property as it was steep so be aware for small children. But our kids enjoyed the deck and game rooms so they didn’t mind. We were short rides away from great hiking, lake, and downtown blue ridge.

Dangerous drive to great views

Brett the owner and Ashley the rental agent are extremely communicative. Our stay was rough, given the intermittent water availability from the well. The listing agent and owner are aware of and working to fix this issue. The drive up was more treacherous than expected. You should plan to arrive in day light. There are no salts available on site to properly salt the driveway for a safe decent, and due to a cold snap including freezing rain/ snow mixed weather that weekend we did not feel safe to leave the property. The views are lovely and the home is excellent, with comfortable beds, a stocked kitchen and plenty of space to entertain. However, the combination of frustrations we experienced drastically and negatively impacted our enjoyment of our stay. Unfortunately, even with quick response times from the owner and agent, I would not rent this location again. With it being a new property and such responsive management I'm hopeful these issues will be ironed out for future guest to enjoy this location.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Our goal is to always provide all of our guests with a perfect experience. We are very disappointed to hear that was not the case for you but also feel like some of the details should be explained. We had recently become aware that there was an issue with the pump from the well and that water service was intermittent. This was brought to your attention before arrival and we even offered a brand new property with the exact same floor plan that the owners just built as an alternative. This offer was declined by you and you decided that you wanted to stay even with prior knowledge of the water issue. Your feedback during the stay was that you were having a great time and that the house was beautiful. You mentioned the water being intermittent but working enough for your needs, although we still tried to troubleshoot and send a service repairman up to fix the issue. Each time the service man came up the water was working fine and you confirmed that as well. You also asked for an early arrival time and a late departure which we happily accommodated to help offset the inconvenience from the water pump issue. We do not provide salt for the driveway because that would encourage people to go down the driveway in conditions that are not favorable to drive in on any roads and they would still need enough salt to continue all the way to the bottom of the mountain which is not realistic. Only after check out did you reach out asking for a full 100% refund. We feel that based on our offer of an alternative home which you declined in addition to the early check-in and late checkout that we were happy to provide that was unreasonable to ask for. We offered $500 refund at first but then settled on a 50% refund which is very fair. Honestly it is more than fair. The pump at the neighborhood well has been replaced and water service has been returned to normal.

Beautiful house and location

We really enjoyed our stay at The Flight Deck this week! The house has great indoor and outdoor living space that we really enjoyed. The only note I’d make is that you really need to have an AWD vehicle to comfortably get to the house. The road up is super steep! Like, holy moly steep. The sign on the living room wall says it all.

Our ladies group absolutely loved this place! The views were amazing, we never wanted to leave! It was clean, spacious, and had plenty of areas to hang out. The internet worked great for the simulcast we watched. The hot tub was nice to hang out in. Be sure to read the requirements for the type of vehicle you need to get to the location, it’s a steep driveway, but the views won’t disappoint!

Best Blue Ridge Trip Ever!

We have rented quite a few cabins in Blue Ridge and while the others have been amazing, The Flight Deck is on another level. I love when the owners pay attention to the details, comfortable higher end furniture and beds, modern appliances, big and small, tvs that work and games and entertainment for all to enjoy. The location and condition of the cabin are both fantastic! I honestly have nothing negative to say. Thank you Ashley for the excellent communication and house directions!!
