About the host
Your host
I grew up in East Tennessee since 1994, and have loved the Smokey Mountains ever since. It is an amazing feeling and is very nostalgic for me because trips to the mountains were always filled with fun and adventure. I now live in Atlanta, and this year when the opportunity to purchase a second home appeared, we knew we wanted to be back in the Smokies. It is my joy to share this home with others so that they too can make memories that will last a lifetime. This home was also purchased in honor of my mother Rosa who passed during the pandemic. I just know she would have loved to be back in Tennessee and would have been so proud of how far we have come in life all thanks to her.
Why they chose this property
This neighborhood is very unique. I looked for months and new I wanted mountain views or water access. Ultimately, we chose water access because this area of the Pigeon River is so calm and shallow and very popular for River Tubing, Kayaking, and Fishing. Before becoming hosts, we have rented gorgeous cabins but the biggest chore was usually how far it was from everything especially a grocery store when we needed something like ice. This home however is so close to everything yet feels so private.
What makes this property unique
I believe that what makes this property unique is the cabin charm and the Pigeon River in our back yard. My children and family have spent all day in the river that they forget about Dollywood or walking the strip because they are having so much fun outside. Kayaking, River Tubing, and fishing all in one weekend keeps them entertained. The firepit outside is also fun and being next to the river makes it a picture perfect setting for making smores.
