About this property

Green Bay Waterfront Cottage. Great Year-Round Retreat. 25 min North of Lambeau

This is a classic Wisconsin waterfront retreat. This newly remodeled cottage includes hardwood floors (bamboo), new kitchen (NEW STOVE MAY 2024), glass tiled shower. Cozy retreat for family/friend gatherings. Greatroom includes wood fireplace, new sofas, huge dining table (meals, games, etc.), and full-wall view of the Bay. Spacious front deck overlooking 200' waterfront includes outdoor furniture, and gas grill. Just a short (25 min) drive to Lambeau Field for Packer practice, pre-season, and games. Water at dock end provides excellent access for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing (small boat). Large front grass provides space for volleyball, and other outdoor fun. Oconto and Suamico are nearby towns with lots of small restaurants, bars, and stores.

Bedroom setup includes one enclosed bedroom on the first floor (queen), and two bedrooms on the second floor (one enclosed, one with open rail overlook to greatroom below).

The privacy is great. Water on one side, and woods on all three other sides. We have our wooded empty lot on one side, and State reserve (DNR) wooded land on two others.

Water is clear and warm. Canoe, Kayak, Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) and Row Boat are available for guests to use.

Beautiful Property

Amazing property on the water- the pictures of the listing don’t do justice! I’ve stayed at many rentals and this is by far one of my favorites I have been to and I want to go back! There were some really bad storms so we ended up losing power for over a day but that didn’t even matter! Everything was well stocked, clean and just such beautiful views! We stayed three nights and did not want to leave.

A Wonderful Place to Relax and Reconnect with Nature

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is in a quiet location, nestled in the woods, with a view across the bay. If you want to just get away from it all, a stay at this property comes highly recommended.

Calming, peaceful atmosphere

This was a quiet and peaceful get - away. We came "home" each night to a great view of the lake, lots of bird songs, and quiet time on the deck. Judging by the number of small boats with people fishing most times of day, this rental would be perfect for families who love to fish, and fishing get-aways!

Awesome Spot

This is a really special spot. Right on the bay and a great jumping off point for fishing. It is centrally located on the western shore and very close to several boat ramps. Relaxing here after fishing all day was truly enjoyable. Communicating with the host was very easy and effective. When I came back to the bay, I will be staying here!

Completely Shocked!!

The pictures do not do this cabin justice. My husband and I were blown away by how quaint, and clean this cabin was. Plenty of necessities to use and the location was absolutely stunning. We spent chilly nights in front of the wood burning fireplace and loved every minute of it. Thank you for everything and we look forward to booking this cabin again soon!! We will definitely be back

Great escape from the Texas heat

The property surpassed our expectations based upon the photos provided, without a doubt one of the best VRBO properties we have stayed at so far. Communication with the property owner was exceptional and any issues and/or questions were answered promptly. As a Wisconsin native (now retired military in Texas) it was good to visit the town of Oconto and the surrounding area. The towns people were very friendly and the staff at The Dockside (phenomenal food and drinks) offered many recommendations at my request. Overall a great place to stay and can see why there are many return customers to this home.

Beautiful, as always. Saw three new birds this year (oriole, humming birds, and an osprey) and the 5 a.m. kayak always has eagles, herons, kingfishers, and duck families in the reeds. We'll be back again next year!

We are a fun-loving family. We live in downtown Milwaukee and love the city cultural life. We also love to get away and spend time with our family and friends.

Why they chose this property

This cottage has a lot of family history. My mom and dad picked out this property for its beautiful, sandy waterfront, secluded woods, and easy drive from Milwaukee (2 1/2 hours with a stop). Having a nearby small town (Oconto) and larger city (Green Bay) offered a variety of activities, attractions, and shopping.

What makes this property unique

Morning coffee on the lakefront deck in the morning is our favorite time (sometimes sunrise). A huge variety of birds (Herons, Pellicans, Cranes, Eagles) frequently fly close by. Evenings often end with a fireside (campfire pit) chat, and star gazing.
