A Creative Legacy: From Vaudeville to Hollywood
The history of Moulin à Rêves is as storied as the landscape is beautiful. In 1921, Vaudeville legend Borrah Minevitch used the fortune from his harmonica patent to acquire this Mill and a famous jazz club on Paris's Île Saint-Louis . Alongside his friend, the owner of the legendary Maxim’s , they envisioned the Mill as a countryside sanctuary for a creative inner circle that included icons like Jacques Tati and Jean Cocteau .

The legacy deepened when Borrah's daughter married the legendary Hollywood lawyer Bert Fields , whose clients included Michael Jackson, Dustin Hoffman, and Tom Cruise . For 60 years, this was Bert's "Hollywood Hideaway" where he cooked, wrote, and entertained the giants of the silver screen.
The Curation: Today, the interiors reflect the impeccable eye of Bert's wife, world-renowned art advisor Barbara Guggenheim . Throughout the three residences, you will find a seamless blend of 18th-century country antiques, original Folies Bergère posters, and vibrant fabric-upholstered walls.
