New Furniture (4) Bedrooms with amazing beds, (2) Baths, (2) Living Rooms (1 on each floor), desk/office area, breezeway, game room, attached (2 1/2) car drive-thru heated garage for your snowmobiles, huge lakeside screened in porch, and Central A/C. Large flat lakeside front lawn with 160' plus of beach and shallow water. Swing set for the kids to play. Free cable TV, All TV's are Flat Screen ,high speed wireless internet, and phone(The only cell phone service in the Island Pond and surrounding areas is AT&T, which is very good. All other cell phone carriers will not work in the Island Pond area). Dock for your boat and swim raft. Wood stove with free wood, washers & dryers, gas Weber grill, Beach front campfire pit and wood fired pizza oven with wood supplied, deck with new patio furniture, covered screen porch, lawn furniture, whole house backup generator . We loved this VRBO. It had *all* the amenities. Games, kayaks, SUPs, pizza oven... seriously everything. It sounds weird but one of my favorite things about this place was the hedges! They made it feel very private, like a little sanctuary, but the lawn is also huge so it was the best of both worlds. We had some rain during our stay and it didn't even matter because we had so much space and, of course, the game room in the cellar to keep us amused.

Island Pond, VT Beach House

This property was exceptional in all regards! All the amenities, wonderful local, and ability to have our dog with us! The loons on the lake serenaded each evening. The property was spotless and had cable TV with all the sports channels. The beach house is located on Island Pond and had a dock, swimming raft, and pizza oven on the beach. We throughly enjoyed the property and hiking near the property in the state forest. Definitely a primo experience!

We had an amazing time, even though the weather didn't cooperate, The house and property were excellent, The pizza oven was a hit along with kayaking on the lake. after dinner, we would take a ride just before dusk saw several moose and even a bear. We would definitely stay here again.

A slice of heaven

This was the most peaceful trip we’ve had . We’ve stayed in home shares literally all over the world and this one ranks in the top 3. Clean, safe, beautiful grounds, all the toys…we all hated to leave. Mark is an awesome host. I’m pretty sure our dog cried leaving.

Eagles and loons on the pond

Perfect home fully loaded with all of the amenities and conveniences for a family weekend. All bedrooms and beds are comfortable. Clean updated bathrooms. Fully stocked kitchen. Screened in porch for summer comfort. Loved the game room in the basement. Loads of privacy but enjoyed a quick checkin by the owner to see if we needed anything. Close to town. Gorgeous sunrises.

Island Pond Family Vacation 2024

We had a wonderful family vacation and stay in Island Pond, Vermont. The house was immaculate, well equipped kitchen, games, and very comfortable living spaces. Our host, Mark Bean, was very accommodating and responsive to minor issues during our stay. The property was very well maintained and had all of the water sports equipment available to enjoy the lake, ie, kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, life jackets. We were excited to see Bald Eagles on the lakefront! Overall, we give it a 5 star rating.

Spacious Home on The Lake

Our party was multigenerational and there was plenty for all of us to do. On the few nice days we had we used the kayaks, fished off the dock and took advantage of the large well manicured front lawn with swing set and sand box. On the less than nice days there were plenty of books, board games and puzzles along with a basement filled with games such as ping pong and air hockey. And speaking of the basement 2 washers and 2 dryers! The kitchen was well appointed and the bedrooms were all a very good size. The living room provided ample space but still maintained its cosy feel. Our go to was the screen porch as even if it was raining it was just lovely to sit out there and enjoy the view. Mark checked in right away and let us know to call him should we need anything. The house felt clean and safe from the moment we walked in so there was no need to reach out. Would definitely rent again.

This home was exactly what we were hoping for - spacious, comfortable, near a lake, with a wonderful host right next door. Mark was absolutely wonderful. He respected our privacy, but checked on us regularly and responded quickly with any of our requests. The home is well maintained with everything we needed for this stay. Even when the electricity went off for a few minutes on a storm, we were surprised to hear the generator turn on. or when I mentioned we would have liked to have an electric kettle- Mark left one for us the next day. All in all, we had a great time!

Wow is an understatement!!

This house was immaculate and the property was absolutely beautiful. Everything you could need is onsite. Clean, comfortable, fully stocked. All we needed was food and our clothes. My dog loved the yard, and the little snow we did get at New Year's. Mark was an excellent host! We actually booked this trip, hoping for a white Christmas, which did not work in our favor this time, but there were so many games and everyone had space to spread out when they wanted to. I can't wait to book this house again. Hoping to head up there this summer and enjoy the lake when its warm too! Thank you Mark, for sharing your house. Our trip could not have been better!!!

A perfect spot for a reunion!

We couldn't have found a more perfect spot for a weekend reunion of old college friends and spouses. The owners provided a large, comfortable home that had plenty of room for everyone, with just about everything you'd need in the kitchen, lots of cozy couches, indoor and outdoor living spaces, in a beautiful spot right on pristine Island Pond, just outside the village. We enjoyed using the outdoor wood-burning pizza oven and owner Mark had plentiful firewood available. This would be a great spot for a family reunion, too, with indoor and outdoor games and equipment available, no matter the season. And did I mention that wood-fired pizza oven?! Island Pond is a great spot for a weekend trip or longer, and this house lets the visitor have a carefree weekend to enjoy it all. We hope to be back soon!

Beautiful Lake House

The house is impeccably clean and beautifully maintained. It had everything we needed, and more. The house is in a quiet lakeside neighborhood, so it isn’t completely secluded, but the high hedges offer ample privacy and the huge lawn has a play set, fun club house for kids, sand box and loads of kayaks, canoes and paddle boards, a dock and a stone oven. We didn’t get to fully enjoy the fire pit and waterside because of flooding from a torrential storm, but we loved the screened porch for eating and playing games, and the games room in the basement. The central air conditioning was a huge plus when it got hot. Mark lives right next door and was very responsive and helpful, and even improvised some sturdy steps and a handhold for my mom to help her more easily access the dock. We would highly recommend this home for a family - there’s something here for all ages and lots of space to spread out, or to come together and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Amazingly beautiful lake house

The lake house is in a perfect location along the lake. The scenery is beautiful and the house is stocked so that you really only need to bring food and clothes. The owner is readily available if there are any problems but does not intrude. He did call the first full day we were there just to make sure that everything was perfect. Which it was! There is a bedroom downstairs with a bathroom across from it. It was perfect for my parents who are in their 70s. There was a shower with a low entry which was great for my dad. My husband and 3 sons were able to fish from the dock or go out in a kayak or canoe to fish in the deeper waters. My youngest was the luckiest at catching fish, much to the dismay of his older brothers. Mark had a separate floating dock that we were able to paddle board out to and jump into the deeper water. There were passing rain showers and one thunderstorm but there were enough board games and activities in the game room to keep the boys entertained. When they got tired of being out on the water or fishing there were plenty of yard games to play as well. There was a fire pit for making s'mores or just to sit around at night talking. There is also a pizza oven with instructions on how to make the pizza. It tasted like it was from a professional pizza oven. There was a lot of laughing throughout the week. Mark's house is a must stay location!

The Perfect Vacation Location!

We were so happy we found Mark’s property for our vacation! This Island Pond property is the perfect setting to relax and unwind! Mark provides everything imaginable that a person would want or need on vacation! The house was fully stocked including such things as paper towels, coffee pods, all kitchen items, cleaning items, beach towels, board games and game room! Outside we enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boards and relaxing on the dock! The house was very clean and furnished nicely and the property was very well manicured! Mark was a pleasure to deal with and was very accommodating! We are definitely planning on returning for future vacations!

This place is the perfect place if you like to enjoy lake life in the summer. It has everything you could ever need. My kids and I loved swimming and fishing right off the dock. Nice clear clean water to jump into. Riding canoes, kids kayaks and paddle boats was fun! We didn’t want to leave!

Cozy yet spacious

I rented this property over the Christmas holiday and it was wonderful I arrived on Christmas Eve after a long day of travel and upon entering the house there were Christmas carols playing and a live tree set up for us it was the best welcome ever. The house is private and cozy yet roomy comfortable everything Multiple televisions cable and space for everyone to pursue their interests snowmobile trail out your door and our dogs loved it. I wanted to experience the property in the summer but a property like this goes fast and Mark was already booked for the season. Stay here summer fall or winter you will love it The house was stocked with everything you could need and then some. Hope to get back!! Thank you for everything Mark

Amazing property and amenities

Mark’s home was absolutely beautiful. We barely left the property because we had everything we needed right there. We lucked out with the weather in early June with sun and 80 degree days - we were jumping off the dock and relaxing in his yard all day. The house was in amazing condition and very clean. Mark and his wife were very friendly and made us feel at home during our stay. I will definitely be returning. What a great steal! Highly recommend coming here with friends, family, and your dog!
