If peace and solitude is what you’re looking for, you’ve found it! Located at the end of a secluded country road, Rockin’ Star Ranch is a luxurious getaway where time seems to stand still. RSR is about escaping urban life to re-connect with family, friends and all that nature has to offer. This VRBO listing is actually 1 of 10 different listings located on the ranch (sleeps 50+ adults) Twinkling star can be booked under this listing or the entire ranch can be booked under its own Rockin Star ranch listing. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor bar, the pool, fish in our ponds, observe and maybe even feed the animals, explore our property, and tour our event venue. Our amenities include an outdoor kitchen, pool, large pastures, tire swings, courtyards, cabins, fishing ponds (catch and release), the woods, and a game room which is located in the garage of the main house. Game room has ping pong, darts, horse shoes, corn hole and a telescope! Interested in horseback riding? A hayride? Maybe want to experience a day in the life of a cowboy? Small cabin in the country

Quaint little cabins surrounding a pool and pavilion. Owner meet us upon arrival and showed us our cabin. Three of us were very comfortable. Close to antique shopping in Roundtop. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

Great country retreat!

Absolutely loved our stay at Rockin Star Ranch. Perfect place to kick back and enjoy the country. My daughter loved visiting with the animals and even had the opportunity to take a horseback riding lesson with Darrell. Already making plans with my family to rent out the entire ranch for a family reunion! Looking forward to our next visit.

Great country environment!

Super cute place with lovely views

Check in was a bit of a mess. They forgot we were coming, so it took a while to get entry into the rental. And it took several hours to cool off the cabin since the a/c was off. Otherwise it was a cute place with great views and nice pool.

A Texas treasure

My stay at the Rockin’ Star Ranch exceeded my expectations. The cabin was perfectly clean and well decorated, with all amenities available. The property itself is a little glimpse of heaven. Animals are roaming the pastures to greet you on your morning strolls. Rocking chairs on the patios to enjoy your coffee and take a deep breath in. Communication with the host Darrell was prompt. He was very helpful and kind. I will definitely be coming back for another visit.

Granddaughter trip

My husband and I took our 11 year old granddaughter to the ranch for three nights and we had a spectacular time! Darrell is a great host and took the time to show us the animals and the other cabins also gave us some history of the ranch. The pool is awesome and was especially refreshing in the extreme heat! The cabin had everything we needed. My granddaughter loved every minute of our stay! We will definitely be coming back!

Great getaway from city life

Rockin Star Ranch was the perfect weekend getaway for our group of moms and toddlers. Darrell was the best host and very kid friendly! The property had enough to keep the kids entertained while never having to leave the property. Lots of great hang out spaces and the pool/ fishing pond were the best. Lodgings were clean and very comfortable. We can’t wait to come back!

Sisters perfect place

Being an on site host, Darrell was absolutely the best host I have ever had. He took us on a walking tour of the ranch sharing with us the whole time. Check in was 3, but we arrived at 11am for a “look-see” just as Darrell was texting check-in info; he told us to come on in. Every night the guests all gathered in the outdoor lounge complete with country sounds, gentle breezes and full moon. The horseback ride was a lesson on getting to know and handle your horse and about 2 hours long. Darrell patiently worked with us on horse safety, safe “in the saddle” know-how with humor, knowledge and a warm environment. The bungalow was so well done in decor and comfort. The people there were so friendly and helpful, the property was beautiful and the whole experience was one I really want to repeat over again…every second.

Beautiful....but...

I read the reviews...which were fantastic! I booked a 2 bedroom cabin for my mother and I. It failed to mention 1 of the bedrooms was in what amounted to a hay loft...with similar ladder. I'm too old to be climbing a ladder straight up to a loft. No TV at all, and the couch was not "sleepable". The owner was very accommodating. He moved us to a larger cabin with all beds on the main floor. There was a TV in the bedroom that didn't work, no cable, no internet and a DVD player that also didn't work. The kitchenette sink had no water supply for coffee. Had to use the bathroom sink for water. All in all, wonderful hosts, wonderfully decorated cabin and a beautiful property. Just don't expect hotel accommodations such as TV or internet.

Rockin Star Ranch is absolutely a Texas treasure! If you want to get away from Houston (1 hour away), and experience high living in a country setting! Good for family gatherings, corporate outings, weddings and fun weekends RSR is your place!

Stay was fine, could be cleaner, grass mowed

Need to be able to lock door when leaving, anyone could just come in. Beautiful place, but needs lots of upkeep. Couldnt park in front by room, had to part way in the grass. We are 80 yrs old. Show respect.

Quick getaway

RockinStar Ranch was an awesome two night getaway from the city. We were at the ranch within an hour from Houston so it was super easy and quick to get there! Our family was able to enjoy the pool, horseback riding with lessons (from both Darrel and his son who were both super patient with our girls), and spent some quality time together as a family (no TV in rooms)! We were so sad to leave and will definitely be back soon!!

Fun stay!

We stayed here for a quick getaway to visit Blue Bell and the historic sites in the area (Washington on the Brazos State Park and the Cotton Gin museum). My kids - ages 9 and 11- loved the pool and game room, and the loft in our cottage. The property was beautiful and well maintained. Would definitely recommend to other families!

LOOK NO FURTHER! If you want a family friendly, relaxing and clean experience with the animals and hill country book now! Darrell abs Danielle are amazing people and truly want their guests to have a perfect trip. This place is perfect for any age wether you want to kick back and relax by the pool with scenic views or pet the animals and fish! We will be making this a yearly trip no doubt! :)

Beautiful getaway

Beautiful property located a short drive from Houston. Very short drive to Brenham for shopping, restaurants, parks, etc. My kids loved feeding the cows, riding horses and going fishing. The kitchen setup could be improved upon since everything is outdoors. There is only a microwave and small refrigerator in each cabin. Otherwise each cabin has a gas grill. There is a large outdoor kitchen (communal); however, if the weather is bad I would plan for a back up.
