This house was fantastic. Well stocked, nice backyard and deck area, gated parking, and beautiful upgrades in an older craftsman’s style home. The neighborhood is a bit marginal so we did not walk anywhere. However, it was so close to downtown and Ubers were inexpensive and plentiful. Highly recommend!
This is a charming house and is definitely worth staying at! We really enjoyed our time here and the proximity to downtown. At first glance the neighborhood can appear rough, but once there it’s awesome! We walked to restaurants and bars and to downtown. Give it a stay! You won’t be disappointed!
The house is gorgeous. The owner did a fabulous job with renovations and decor. The book with pictures to show what it used to look like to now was so cool. Plenty of room for six people.Home owner was wonderful. I reached out to her and she was quick with her response. I would definitely recommend!
We absolutely loved staying at this home! It is just like the pictures. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The bunk beds were a huge hit for our kids. Everything was very clean. We would definitely stay again.
It is a beautiful property conveniently located to downtown. We chose to stay here as my children were competing in a world taekwondo tournament at the Gonzalez Center. Perfect for my family, my parents, and my inlaws to comfortably vacation together while there.
This house is absolutely stunning. There is a book on the counter that shows the history and transformation of the home; very cool! The host is very attentive and professional. No issues at all. Thank you!
What an incredible stay and an incredible remodel and renovation of this historic house. From the moment we walked in, we were in awe. Such beautiful finishes, cleanliness, and just overall excited to be staying here. Communication with the host was great. We arrived after hours and had easy access through the gate in the backyard and the house itself. Would recommend anybody staying in San Antonio to try this historic house out. You will not be disappointed.
Great house with a lot of room. We had 4 adults but could have been comfortable with 6 or 8 if 4 people wanted to stay in one room. The beds were all comfortable. We sat outside in the morning drinking coffee and back out there in the evening. The kitchen was well stocked with everything to cook with. It was nice to have shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and lotion provided. Less stuff to bring in the carry on. Good communication with the owner at all times. We usually took a uber but depending where you were going you could have walked. Not in the evening/night though. I would definitely recommend.
Very nicely renovated historic property. Luxurious touches throughout. Huge backyard that our kids enjoyed playing in. The rest of the neighborhood wasn't nearly as nice as this house, but it's centrally located near a number of attractions in San Antonio.
The Time Traveler was absolutely beautiful. Only a few minor issues shower in master bathroom doesn’t get hot, the a/c drain is in a high traffic area which can be a little slippery and sighting of roaches inside the home.
Nice property close to several favorite downtown spots.
Great house! Very clean and well furnished. Exactly as described on the site. Close to Pearl, Frost, and the Riverwalk. Host is very responsive to communications. Only slight draw back is the neighborhood didn’t seem to be the best, but we didn’t feel unsafe.
The location of this home is ideal for anyone visiting the Alamo, Pearl District, Convention Center. East drive to any of these spots. The home itself is very nicely decorated and offers some history in the home which is such a personal touch. It’s ample bedrooms and kitchen lends itself for a comfortable stay for our family of 6 adults and 2 children. We also enjoyed a group dinner one of the nights with friends/family in the area. It was a fantastic stay, thank you for sharing your home with us!
This home felt like I was back at my grandmas house with a modern twist. The time and detail that was put into the remodel of this older home made this stay feel like home. The beds are heavenly and the showers were spa-like. The home perfectly matched the photos. Tammara was the perfect host and helped make our stay perfect. I highly recommend this property for families and even single travelers. I’m not someone to repeat stay at properties but this property will likely be a home away from home for me.
House was nicely decorated and clean. The house is well equipped for cooking and sleeping.
I am not sure why the balance for our rental was not charged with the credit card information that I had provided in the beginning. Is that a VRBO practice? I did not know until our arrival day that you had not charged the balance. I did not receive any notification that it was outstanding until we were ready to check in. Also, not sure of the cause, but 4 adults and one child in our party had sore throats the last day of our stay. My wife who is a nurse speculated that there could be some sort of mold issue in the house.

Michael, Thank you for your stay, we have taken extra time to make sure the kitchen has all that you may need with extra supplies. I am sorry you were sick, and know traveling you can pick up sickness anywhere. We are very sensitive to all and cleanliness and health is on top of our list. We have not ever had another complaint about sickness in all our 100 Plus stays. We will go through all to make sure this is not the case. We pray you and your family are all better and had a great time.
Myself, my husband and two daughters (ages 12 & 14) stayed in this gorgeous home for five nights in May 2025. We all LOVED this home so much. Getting to the home from the airport was only about a 20 minute cab ride. Some of the streets leading up to the home made me a little nervous (due to what appeared to be a large homeless population near the overpass). However, pulling into the home eased my worries. The outside of the home is well maintained, with a private driveway and parking available behind a locked gate. The inside of the home was immaculate! Every nook and cranny was fresh and clean. It even smelled really great. Everything in this home feels so luxe and there is no detail that has been missed. The decor is beautiful, like something straight out of a magazine.Every bed in the home has a very comfortable tempur pedic mattress, which we appreciated. The bedding was so comfortable and soft and all of us loved that they provided throw blankets throughout the home as well. Similar to the bedding, the towels in the home were also very soft and cozy. This home had everything that we needed, and more. Each bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The kitchen has ample amounts of coffee pods and tea bags.I also appreciated that there was a very user friendly alarm system that we were able to utilize during our stay. We adored this home. It truly felt like home and we were all very sad when it was time to leave.

Brittany, we appreciate your love for our home. We did want to keep the historic with the modern up grades. The home has such history and amazing people who have stayed since 1904, what a blessing to see others appreciate the home.
