Come and enjoy our newly remodeled, peaceful cottage just a few feet from the shores of Nelson Lake in the renowned Hayward, Wisconsin. Sip coffee on the deck overlooking the water, kayak into the bay, swim and/or fish right off of our private dock, and enjoy all the luxuries of shopping and dining in downtown Hayward just 6 miles away. We are sure you’ll enjoy your stay at our little blue cottage on the water.

Little Blue Cottage did not disappoint

Nice little cottage

It was perfect for us. Can't imagine being any closer to the lake. It is literally right out the window. The property is private and nice.

We enjoyed a long weekend at the lil blue cottage. It was indeed little but all we needed for our little get away. It’s very close to the lake. Bring water shoes if getting into the lake. Lots of rocks. We loved kayaking in the nice quiet bay. Close to town too.

Beautiful and Peaceful

A wonderful stay at the little blue cabin. The cabin had everything we needed for a long weekend in the north woods! Communication was great. Although the weather wasnt cooperative for kayaking we were able to do alittle fishing off the dock and exploring in Hayward. Thank you for sharing this little piece of heaven!

We loved our stay in Little Blue Cottage. We came to the lake to relax and the setting was perfect. The cabin is tidy and has everything you need for your stay. It’s ideal for 1-3 people. I think four would feel cramped. Be sure to bring your water shoes if you plan to get in the lake; it’s rocky and there are lots of plants. I would definitely try to rent it again if we come back to Hayward.

We always love staying on Nelson Lake! The little blue cabin was perfect for our family trip. Great lake access and easy docking for our jet ski. The kids loved jumping off the dock, just bring water shoes for the rocks. The porch and fire areas were nice with furniture and the views were gorgeous. Our bedroom had enough room for our baby’s pack n’ play and had a closet. The bathroom is big! A great, secluded stay for us.
