Why they chose this property
With its vast yet peacefully secluded surroundings, The Lodge on Lewis Lake was named in honor of my grandfather, Robert/Bob Lewis, who purchased the land in 1950. What existed on the property at the time was nothing more than a tiny fishing/hunting cabin. Over the years, our vision for the land was to create a home for our growing family to enjoy generations to come. – and that we did! In 2013, we built the first of our properties -- what is now known as Little Lodge – while still enjoying our nostalgic rustic 1930s fishing/hunting cabin (we couldn’t quite part with it). In 2020, after deciding that long weekends just weren’t enough, construction began on our forever home – The Lodge on Lewis Lake. Constructed of rich cedar, stone trim and an expansive wrap-around deck, we are confident that The Lodge on Lewis Lake will also draw you inside as much as it will invite you outdoors. Today, our grandchildren (5th generation) now enjoy what our family calls our very own rustic ‘Shangri-la’. We are confident that you and your family will also share similar feelings the moment you arrive on the grounds and enter the doors of The Lodge.
What makes this property unique
What makes The Lodge truly special is the peaceful feeling you will have from the moment you arrive to the time you say, “until we meet again.” :-). This is a destination where stress fades almost immediately and memories last for a lifetime. Enjoy the swimming, fishing and hiking on/around your own Lake. Your nearest neighbor is .6 mile away. Enjoy a cup of coffee while sitting on the dock, or the patio, or the large deck and you will likely hear or see a loon or a bald eagle.
