We stayed with some old friends who had never been to the San Luis valley. We were amazed at the views from the property all around. Very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Hosts were very prompt and courteous with inquiries. We plan to go back!
We stayed here with our two year old and four year old and had a lovely time. We played in the snow as much as possible but when we were forced to be inside the stunning views (from every window) kept us going! We would love to come again. Gretchen was so responsive and helpful, the house is so well stocked with the little things you might forget! It really made us feel like we were staying in a home.
The Manor is tastefully decorated. The artwork is all researchable with interesting stories. 360 degree second story deck views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, San Louis Valley and all the way across the valley you can see the San Juan mountains. The Manor is so close to the Sangre de Cristo mountains that you can see the green valleys in between the layers of mountains. We truly enjoyed everything this place had to offer. It was beautiful, clean, and had all the comforts of home. We will definitely be coming back!
Our whole family really enjoyed this relaxing property. The pool table was especially a hit with everyone! There was lots of room for our family of 5 and plenty of space. Our 16 year old set up a telescope on one of the 2 balconies and star gazed for hours. We made 2 trips to the Sand Dunes and Gator Farm, the drive was about 50 minutes. The only negative was that there was another rental on the acreage. But overall we were very satisfied and would love to return for another visit.
Thanks Gretchen.
The Crestone area is a really special part of the Rockies.
The abobe manor was a great way to connect with this amazing locale for us. The house had fantastic views of both the valley and the mountains, especially from the back patio and upstairs balconies. Inside, the house was beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, couches, outdoor seating, and locally-inspired art.
The kitchen was well equipped. The upstairs lounge/balcony spaces and patio out back offer a lot of room to spread out. The pool table in the adjacent home office/garage building was also a nice touch.
While my sons and I were there, we visited the dunes, hot springs (we visited Joyous Journeys), and the Arkansas River/Texas Creek area, as well as Crestone itself.
I highly recommend visiting here.
What a wonderful property on all levels! Highly recommend!
We fully enjoyed our stay. The house, really a "home," is well appointed. There is great furniture throughout---from a very well equipped kitchen to wonderful outdoor patio space. It's high level consistency---from super comfortable beds to a perfect dining room table. Lastly the setting on 2 acres is wonderful, we good walks up the road, and home is not far from the town.
The property is great, location, cleanliness, and communication with property owner was great.
