Come ride the trails with your off road toys, trail is 150 ft from the cabin or walk down the street to Houghton Lake. Close to several yummy restaurants, golf, two miles from the boat launch, the public beach, and everything northern community has to offer. Come relax in our backyard and have a low key vacation or go play in northern MIchigan’s great outdoors.

# Wonderful Cabin StayThis cabin was the perfect cozy getaway! It had everything you could need to feel right at home from the moment you walked in. The thoughtful touches—cozy blankets by the couch, puzzles and games, a well-stocked kitchen with spices, dishes, and cleaning supplies—made our stay so comfortable. Outside, we loved the fire pit (with wood provided!), the cornhole game, and even the dog leads for our pup. Every detail was considered. We highly recommend this clean and comfy cabin and would happily stay here again!

Great cottage, awesome hosts

The cabin is very clean and nice. Theres was a minor problem but the hosts went above and beyond to fix the problem. We had a great stay and cant wait to come back

Cute and cozy

With a family of 5 and 2 dogs this was the perfect place to stay. I’m from HL but moved to Mississippi 15 years ago so I did not know what was available in town for places that let dogs stay. We had our own privacy with the 2 rooms and 3TV’s and a sitting area when you first walk in! I will definitely book again next time

Super cute Houghton Lake cottage!

We had a great stay this past few days. It was my husband and me, my daughter and SIL and two grandsons. Very cute cottage and the backyard was perfect for a campfire, grilling, and games. Loved the front screened porch. Spent most of our indoor time out there. We had an awesome neighborhood fireworks show on the 4th!! Definitely recommend!

Nice little up north stay!

We had a great time! There were eight of us total, and we all had a place to sleep! Felt very homey and had everything we needed! Our dog used the electric fence and it was his first time, but he caught on to the beeps pretty quick haha. Main bedroom bed was very comfortable. Lots to do around here and we will definitely be back! The beach at Higgins State Park was awesome and only a 20 minute drive. Restaurants were all good and host was very helpful in suggestions! Our dog loved it and so did we! Thanks for the hospitality :)

Overall impression: very nice cabin near the lake. We arrived to an immaculate interior. Clean everywhere, and smelling good. The interior of the cabin is very cool, with ceiling fans, Vornado fans, and a very cool ac unit in the living room. We ran it but the space keeps cool very well. The kitchen has everything you need. There’s also a grill out back in the patio area. Everything seems pretty new still. Couldn’t have asked for a better place for our weekend getaway. Communication with the owner was fast as well. They answered our queries quickly. All in all, a very nice place.

Bedrooms are smaller than I expected, but sufficient for our needs (2 adults, 1 small dog). Beds were AMAZING!!! Location was very convenient to dining and shopping. It was a nice, quiet street with neighbors outside and people walking. Cabin had everything we needed and more! Have already recommended it to family members and hope to stay again for my trip next year.
