The owner and the unit itself are superb. The location and view from the unit is amazing. The owner was very communicative and helpful by providing and helping us with information regarding the local spots and where to go for what. I felt right at home! I would stay here again!
Great views and layout of the unit. The kitchen lacked most of the basics and what was there probably needed to be replaced. Host was great and the property and amenities were also great.
We visit Miami often but have never stayed downtown. Brickell offers a lot to see and do. John the owner is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He helped make our stay memorable. Apartment was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the water views from the apartment. Would highly recommend.
The owner John was very responsive to all messages I sent him and very helpful with letting us know all there is to do in the area.
The unit was amazing. Views spectacular. You’re right where all the sights are to see. I definitely will stay here again!! Thank you John!!

An amazing condo with a great host
John was amazing!!! He was very helpful and did an amazing job welcoming us. He was also able to check us in early which was very nice of him. The place had a great view and it was in a great location - overall we loved it. The only downside was that there were no curtains in the living room which didn't make it easy for some of us sleep there in the morning, but it wasn't a big deal.
The main pool was not open during our stay but there was a pool upstairs which we could use for a fee.

This was an awesome place. Spectacular views, central to everything you could ever want, incredible host. John was so very helpful - we had a phone call right when I arrived and he oriented me to everything so i knew where to walk. The apartment is beautifully designed - bed was super comfortable, and i loved the big tub and spacious primary bathroom. My only suggestion is to have John tell you where to park. The valet in the building is super expensive ($42.00 for 24 hours) and a little chaotic - but there is a garage about 2 blocks away that is only $15.00. I will definitel stay again!
John is the ultimate host. Met us at check-in. Provided us a detailed description of the unit and the surrounding area. Answered all our questions quickly throughout our stay via text.
The apartment is extremely clean, feels like a luxury hotel suite. Minimalist in the right way, not cluttered.
The location could not be better. Easy walking distance to the best restaurants, live theatre, museums, night life.
Great views abound. Fun watching boats coming and going up the Miami river with views out to Biscayne Bay. Highly recommend. This will be our "go to" spot for Miami.

Nice view but difficult to access property amenities and check in/out.
We were told to wait till 4:30 PM to check in then it changed to 5 PM. I was getting messages at 4:52 about not being there yet. Parking is very expensive and there is no in/out privileges. The location is very convenient and there is great restaurants, parks, shopping and Miami Heat Arena within walking distance. Checking out was kind of the same and I felt like we were really going to get charged just on general principle. The big pool was closed the whole time we were there. Only one of our keys worked and you need it to get in and out of the spa and pool. The owner was notified and he said he would come at 4:30 PM on Saturday to fix it. He called at 6:15 and said he was almost there but we had dinner reservations so we had to leave before that. Check out time is 10:00 AM.

I am so sorry that you want to check in at 4:30 but as you can see in signed contract check in is at 5:00 pm, and you wrote to me and requested check in at 5:30 PM, parking is free but not when you booked for only 3 nights (Building regulations) Sorry about the pool but the day you check in the pool was getting clean and Guest are allow after 24 hours because all the chemicals preventing damages to your skin.
About the keys both keys always work, if you are talking about the fobs, when you check in both fobs where working find but from time to time they get discharged and it needs to be recharge, thats an issue out of my control because a fob can last 2 weeks or it can last two months so I do not know when is going to discharged,,, you were very demanding but as I told you before I live 1:45 minutes away from the condo you could do find with the two keys and one fob because you were only 3 Guests, but you use strong words and you were very demanding, and your check out it was next early morning, so to make you happy I drove 2:50 minutes in traffic and when I was 5 minutes away you wrote to me and told me not to come because you where living for dinner. Moreover check out time is between 10:30 and 11:00 am, max 11:30 am and if I do not have any other Guest check in the same day I allow Guest to stay till 12:00 noon. I am very sorry about all misunderstanding. I am in to make a memorable journey for all my guests.

All the negative reviews on this are completely accurate. The check in process was horrible. Told us they would meet us at 2 and we waited over an hour…. then we went to checkout we needed to make a flight so we offered to meet them early and they showed up 40 minutes late making us miss our flights and Ubers. Very unprofessional and unorganized. The unit itself was not clean when we got there and the sheets/towels were dirty. Not only that there was damage to the bed, couch and tables…he’s too cheap to update the unit. I’ve stayed in a lot VRBOs but I have not been in a worse one. Out of all the units in the ICON this is not one you should stay in. The owner will try to say whatever he wants to make this sound not as bad but it truly is a waste of money to stay here.

I am truly sorry for your experience at the property during your visit. My aim to have a super smooth check-in process, I always do person to person check-ins and check-outs to make sure my Guests will have everything they may need, please remember that you requested a check-in at 3:00 pm and you show up and hour earlier, for the check-out I was there on time at the lobby and it took me around 15 minutes to get to the unit due to the elevator rules imposed by the resort (only a max of two people per elevator or entire family), we were still on pandemic at that time, regarding the furniture is all high end, and all are in 85% conditions.
As these items are not designed for commercial use, they do tend to show dirt more easily than darker industrial fabrics. My housekeeping team always tries to leave the apartments in pristine condition, but in the event something is overlooked, we always try to make it right. In addition to regular deep cleaning by my housekeeping staff, upholstered items are steam cleaned as needed. However, sometimes stubborn stains may remain. Please rest assured that my unit is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between each guest, and damaged items are repaired or replaced when necessary. The reservation was for 4 Guests and you end it up having a large group of young people in the unit, who caused damages to the unit, make hole in the wall and stained towels and bed linens. It would seem that the rating given to my unit on your behalf would be on account of incidents outside of our control, thank you again for staying with us and we appreciate your feedback!

We will never suggest people to use service of John, because : (1) apartment wasn't clean and no respond to this issue from day 1 (we sent him e-mail); (2) now good view; (3) you will find a terrible plastic tubes from floor in two rooms; (4) only a few TV channels, even we asked to activate sport ones; (5) old dishes and a lot of old food; (6) we agreed that parking will be included in price, but John deduct from deposit; (7) when we arrived apartment was busy and he booked another one in hotel and than deducted part of this price from deposit; (8) Internet doesn't work in living room; (9) during 3 weeks no one came to clean apartment; I can continue this list, but I think that all these issues already may provide a good picture of what you will get when you deal with John. We have a good experience to rent apartments from other owners on Brickel and always were more than happy. With some of these people we keep friendship for many years, we go for dinners when we are in Miami and always tell about excellent hospitality of people in Florida. It is so sad that we have such negative experience with John. We hope John will read this and will change his attention to clients.

The apartment is always meticulously cleaned, cleaning service is not included during the stay. The property has a spectacular city and water views. Pictures that are on HomeAway.com are actual views from the property. The dishware is a high quality and it matches the apartment decor. WiFi service is available throughout the 10 acre Oasis.

Worst VRBO/HomeAway Experience Ever
I booked this property for a girls trip with my best friends from high school (three 34 year old moms). I have booked properties on HoneAway and similar websites many, many times so I did not have any concerns. I didn’t hear much from John after I booked other than what seemed like copy and pasted responses to a couple of questions. Three days before the trip, he messaged me and asked me to send him copies of our photo IDs. I’ve never had to do this before, so I went back and forth with him to determine why. He said the building needed them on file so we could use the amenities. I finally ended up sending him copies of our IDs with personal information blacked out. Upon receiving these via email he informed me that I sent them too late. He said the building needs them 72 hours in advance. This was the first time I heard that this was a time sensitive request. He said it would probably be fine. When we arrived at the apartment, John met us there and showed us around. As he was showing us the property he kept mentioning previous “damages” that other guests had allegedly incurred. He told us not to touch the walls and they had been recently painted. He also asked for my photo ID AGAIN and took a picture of it. I had a bad feeling, but we had already paid so there was no turning back. I kept asking him about pool access as he was showing us around, but was ignored. Finally before he left I asked him one last time. He said we could “probably” get in if we went to the rooftop pool and lied and told them we were residents. The next day I went up to the pool and found out that on weekends, only residents of floors 1-14 have pool access (we were on 22). So regardless of the IDs, we would not have had access to a pool as advertised. The other pool was closed for construction. We had a good weekend, the apartment is nice and in a good location. Before we left, I took pictures of all the rooms because I had a feeling he was going to try to pull something on us. We threw a load of laundry in, but there was no laundry soap available. That afternoon John sent me pictures of “scratches” on the white leather couch (1/2 inch black marks that could have been there before our stay and small enough for me not notice when I photographed the couch that morning), two towels with makeup on them (simply needed to be shouted and washed again) and a paper napkin in the toilet. I’m currently working with my lawyer to collect the $600 he still owes me.

I am so sorry for the inconveniences in your stay, but the building requires ID’s for registration. I always try to be as transparent as possible that’s the reason I do person to person check-ins and go by detail throughout the condo to prevent any misunderstandings. I did not want to make you feel uncomfortable, but the condo was freshly painted, and usually, most of the damages are caused by luggages. The pool repair was delayed; however, you could have used the other pool and all the amenities I gave you completely free, like the SPA, Gym, Sauna, Jacuzzi, Steam room, relaxation areas, Theatre, and all daily activities program at the Oasis, like surfing classes, Zumba, Yoga, Boot camp, Body sculpting, Spinning, among others. About the sofa damages, I could have asked for a leather replacement, but I have found the most affordable repair available to me ( this company will match the color and paint the scratches). Also, I apologize but I washed the towels in 5 different ways, but the stain is not coming off on two of them. I am in to make a memorable journey for all my guests, and I have never had this issue before, as you can see on all my reviews, every Guest talked positive and had a wonderful experience, this is a very uncomfortable situation, I do not want a bad review but I do not think is fair that guests cause damages and I have to take the losses.

I have stayed in this building various times but none have matched this specific property. The owner was exceptionally helpful and very attentive from the moment we checked in. Everything was perfect and as described. Will definitely be coming back.
