About this property

Beautifully Updated Country Home

This house is a spacious home that will suit the whole family. It also has outdoor living space and a pool. Your will enjoy the quiet country feel yet close to outdoor events and entertainment. Our breezeway gives you a great view of the Cocolamus dam, farming fields and a passing by amish horse and buggy. There is also access to the garage where there are extra fishing poles, yard games and bicycles to use during your stay.
The space
This is a 2 story, newly remodeled home. The first floor has a half bath just off of the kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, serving dishes and more. There is plenty of dish-ware to serve your entire group. Enjoy sitting at our 2 seater coffee bar where you can participate in kitchen or dining room conversation. The dining room features a table sitting 6-8 guests comfortably. Just off of the dining room you will find the living room. There is a love seat with 2 electric recliners, a sofa with 2 electric recliners and a matching chair. You will find a second living room which sits 4-5 people. There is a desk in this room as well as a piano. It also has plenty of games, puzzles and books to choose from.

Our country home is handicapped accessible. You will find a stair chair that will assist those that need help getting to the second floor. Once on the second floor you will find three bedrooms and a full bath:
Bedroom 1 has 1 king bed, TV, dresser and a full-length mirror.
Bedroom 2 has 1 queen bed, TV, dresser
Bedroom 3 has1 bunk bed (twin over full), 1 single bed, dresser, TV. This room sleeps 4 children.
Each bedroom has an extra pair of bed linens and blankets.
The bathroom is very spacious, including a double sink, walk in shower with seat and fully stocked with towels and washcloths.

The home has a front porch featuring a panoramic view of the Cocolamus mill and dam. Enjoy the scenery as you sit on our front porch swing. Or, feel free to sit more comfortably on our breezeway which brings an enjoyable summer breeze. Gas grill available on the back porch.

Beautiful Peaceful Getaway

Absolutely beautiful property inside and out! The pool was great, the views were incredible, the covered breezeway was so nice being able to sit outside in the shade. Inside was so clean, beautifully decorated, the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfy. Highly recommend a stay here, you won't be disappointed.

Great property

Stayed here for a week before a family wedding. The home as well stocked, very clean and nicely updated. When we had a question, owner was very quick to respond and help. We definitely recommend and look forward to staying here again when we are in town visiting family.

Beautiful home in the country. The home was well kept and beautifully updated. Nice pool right outside the door. Me and my family enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone!

Clean, well stocked, private home in a quiet area to get away from it all. Family and dog friendly with secure access to the pool to keep little ones out. The kitchen had everything needed to prep, cook, and store meals. The home is spacious and everyone can spread out and have time to themselves. Took the family on a trip to the country to unplug and unwind, this home suited our needs perfectly. When we weren't floating in the pool we were hanging out in the breezeway, shedding the stress of the daily grind. The swing on the front porch provided an excellent vantage point to watch the world go by. If the exploration bug bit, small towns with great coffee houses (Stan's and Old Mill) were a short drive north or south. Plenty to discover along the way, farmers markets, butcher shops, flea markets and ice cream. Be sure to load your routes in your map while linked to the homes WiFi, service gets spotty on some of the roads.

Great Family Getaway

This was the best! Beautiful house, great property and an amazing pool. This was the perfect chance to give my step children the carefree childhood experience I had in the 80's and 90's. They rode bikes, explored, and were just kids! I would highly recommend booking a trip! I hope I can return next year!

Clean and Relaxing

Probably the cleanest floors in any of the public places our family has stayed recently! The breezeway and front porch always seemed to be 10 degrees cooler despite the heat wave. Very clean pool with lockable gate. Lots of fresh linens. All of the appliances were very clean and well-maintained. Also appreciated the night lights throughout the house! Would definitely book again when we are in the area!

My family and I stayed here for our summer vacation. There was plenty of room for all 7 of us. The home was very clean and well maintained and we absolutely loved hanging out at the pool. After a day of exploring, it was so comforting to come back to a place that felt like home. The kitchen had all the utensils and gadgets a cook could ask for! The check in was so easy; our door code worked on the first try. My husband loved being able to wake up and just walk across the street to fish. We were very appreciative that the hosts were so responsive and quickly took care of any issues...they even sent someone out to check on the water pressure. If we ever return to Pennsylvania, we would definitely stay here again! We highly recommended this home.

It is a very clean comfortable and beautiful home. We had everything we needed there in the kitchen for cooking and eating. The beds are comfortable and there are extra pillows and blankets if needed. The main full bathroom has so much space and the shower is roomy also. The water pressure in the kitchen and bathrooms could be better. It was very slow. The air conditioning kept the home comfortable and we slept well. Our family enjoyed the clean pool and the covered sitting area next to the house. Overall we all had a great time in a very lovely home away from home!! We would recommend this home and go back to stay again!!
