About this property
Cabin on Current River- on the water, private dock!
Large cabin on the Current River. Boating, fishing, and swimming from private access with dock. Has small sand beach area when the river is down. Outdoor covered cooking area and patio with amazing view. Hunters Welcome! Close to David Donaldson Wildlife Refuge. The space The feedback we consistently get back is "It was much larger than we expected." There is a large, open living space with a dining table which seats eight. The living room has a sectional couch and two leather couches situated for television viewing or socializing. Two full bathrooms help with larger groups. The bunk room has eight beds, and a large bedroom has 2 full beds. Out doors, you will find a large pavillion with both gas and charcoal grills in a well shaded area. The two picnic tables offer space for outdoor dining. The short path leads to the focal point, "THE CURRENT RIVER!" A set of stairs takes you down to a dock with a small sand beach and your private access to the water! There is a public boat ramp about a mile downstream where you can launch your boat. If boating isn't your thing, bring floaties and float down to the access from the cabin. (plan to have someone pick you up) Upstream, you will find large white sand beaches that are very popular. Continue upstream (jet propulsion recommended) the river becomes shallower and swifter. The sand beaches turn to gravel bars, and the views are amazing! If water isn't your thing bring a book and enjoy the peaceful serene backyard. Guest access The entire property is yours to enjoy with the exception of the walk-in closet. It has been converted a storage and supply room.

One of our favorite places to use for lodging for our duck guide service! This is the second year our hunters have stayed at Cabin on Current River, and now I'm getting requests from hunters to come back!
Host was very accommodating. I had a package delivered there the day before arrival and it was taken care of. The location was easy to find and very clean. The home had all the amenities needed for a three day stay. I would highly recommend this location to anyone.
We loved the cabin. It was perfect for our large family. Lots of seating for meals indoors and outdoors, lots of lounging space and great river access!
We stayed here as a base camp for a hunt trip. It’s was perfectly suited and outfitted for our crew! Had everything we needed and will definitely be back
Very comfortable, clean and beautiful cabin. It has everything you need. We also enjoyed the beautiful current river. The irrigation pump running 24/7 across the river was loud but other than that it was a wonderful vacation! We'll definitely be back
Great place for us to stay! Plenty of room inside and out! Loved the space of the bathrooms. Big living room , and big table for us to all eat together! Enjoyed the smoker and the river out back! Just a really great place
Our company, Waterfowl Unlimited Guide Services used this cabin for our hunters that came in. The gentleman said that it was everything that they needed and it was a pleasant stay!
This is our second time staying in this home. We all had a great time on Current River. There was small sand bar in front of the cabin the grandkids loved. The host Chris replied quickly with my questions.
We made a last minute trip on Memorial Day Weekend. Cabin was very clean and spacious, stocked with everything you need. The covered outdoor cooking / sitting area was great, especially considering that it rained most of the weekend. The dock was under water because of all the rain, but under normal conditions would have been perfect. Would definitely recommend.

The house was clean and comfortable. Porches were dirty and had to be sweeped. Irrigation pump that goes 27/7 made sitting outside not so enjoyable.

It is unfortunate we are experiencing a drought and leaves are falling from the large, mature trees that provide shade all day during outdoor activities, We wash down the decks after every stay and go above and beyond to ensure the highest level of cleanliness possible. The farmers pump is not in our control, they are pumping water from the river to keep their crops alive. Unfortunate, but this is a rural area,.. Thanks for leaving a review.
Overall we were happy with the property. The diesel irrigation pump running across the river the first few days non stop was the only negative I really have for the property. The owner was great to work with and overall we enjoyed our stay at the river retreat.
It was a nice cabin retreat with all the immunities..We were looking forward to having time on the river but it was high and murky. The dock was completely under water due to all the rain. We didn't get to enjoy it like we had planned. Mother nature rules!
We had a nice stay. Well stocked with utensils and such. We bought toilet paper, we brought 3 boys and us. Needed more and more ply. Beds were comfortable. Nice fire pit. Nice grills nice outside space. Bring bug spray or a fogger it is Right on the river so once the sun starts setting. Mosquitos. Huge living room and kitchen. Great view of the river. We did not swim off the deck I would bring life jackets or a float. It seemed like it dropped off. We stayed for 3 nights and floated the current river 2 days. Owners very responsive.
