Very nice and clean place to explore Bellingham! Our family had a great time biking and so convenient to Galbraith. The kitchen was nicely stocked and the owners are very nice and helpful.
We had a wonderful stay! The place was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. We felt welcomed and check-in was super easy. The property felt secluded but was still a quick ride into town. Would definitely recommend.
The house were amazingly responsive to any request. The place was wonderful and even had chocolate. We would stay with them anytime ..IHighly recommend this property
We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were wonderful to deal with. NIce location, the home was very comfortable and my family really enjoyed our stay. We would come again.
A great place to stay! The owners are super helpful and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The place is very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Lots of nice touches. It's a peaceful, quiet spot and we would definitely book it again.
Loved staying here. Quiet neighborhood. My mother in law called it her stay up in the trees. Good location and only miles away from downtown and they bay. Jessa was amazing and responded quickly.
Finally a property with truly comfortable beds! The location was beautiful! Communication with the host was very friendly and quick. It was so clean, cheerful, and felt very welcoming! I would highly recommend this place!
A friend and I came to Bellingham to visit another friend. This 2nd floor unit in a 3-unit "house" was only ten minutes away, but felt like it was in the forest. The street is very quiet and the house is surrounded by trees. The owners were incredibly thoughtful, with great communication and offering fun suggestions of local activities. I would definitely stay here again.
This is the second time we have stayed at the Galbraith Mountain Retreat, and both times it has been perfect for us since our daughter and her family live nearby. Our stays were both very comfortable, and although we didn’t mountain bike, the Galbraith Mountain entrance is nearby. Whatcom Falls Park is also not far and has pretty falls, nice hiking trails, and a couple of playgrounds. The location is convenient and the apartment is well equipped and quite comfortable.
We had a great time staying at Jessa and Kevin’s retreat. They are great, considerate hosts. We were very comfortable in the apartment, appreciated all the local insight and suggestions, were impressed with the gift basket and generosity of supplies. There was plenty of space for the two of us and we could easily access all the area highlights from Fairhaven to Mt. Baker. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here and would stay here again if back in the area.
This condo was just as shown in pics and on line. Beds were super comfortable and condo was very homey, they had everything we needed. It's a little haven retreat in the woods but close to so many things. Whatcomb lake was walking distance but didn't spend much time there. Jessa and Kevin were great and provided really good information on the area and fun things to do. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again if we get up to Bellingham again.
Kevin and Jessa were easy to work with. When we first got there, Kevin walked with us to show where the trails were. The chocolates on the bed were a nice plus. And then the cake for our daughter's graduation was a special plus. Great beds, quiet neighborhood, and easy access to WWU and downtown Bellingham. A great place to stay.
Jessica and her partner were such great hosts. The place was lovely and they even had a sweet welcome basket waiting. They were very understanding when my dog had some separation anxiety and got herself into a little trouble :) No stress at all about a dog being a dog which was honestly refreshing.
This location was ideal for us since our daughter lives a few blocks away. She and her 3-year old daughter visited us every day because it was so kid-friendly a spot with more space for play than where they live. We were there during mostly rainy wintry weather, so there was a lot of indoor time. Galbraith Mountain Retreat was an incredibly comfortable place to stay (luxurious beds a major plus!) In more temperate weather we would check out nearby trails for hiking.
Our family of 3 visited Bellingham for a long weekend and we couldn’t have found a better place to stay. Jessa was welcoming and made the check in and out super easy. There was even a basket of snacks waiting when we arrived- which was perfect because we had been traveling all day and were starved! The place is tucked in to a quiet street and truly feels like you’re in a mountain treehouse. Lots of windows for fresh air and listening to birds and breeze in the trees. On our first morning there, we woke up to find a family of deer hanging out in the yard! Apartment was clean, kitchen well stocked with essentials. Having a second bathroom and washer/dryer were important to us. A nice surprise was how great the beds were- quality mattresses and bedding! No squeaky frames and loud sheets. The location was optimal, a quick drive to parks, lakes, and downtown. We were happy to come back to this cozy retreat after a long day out. Would absolutely stay again, especially in the colder months.
We enjoyed our stay, it was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook 3 meals, the beds were comfortable & the views of evergreens out of most windows were lovely. It was also very close to all the things we wanted to do.
Such an amazing place to stay! We stayed for a week to visit family in the area, and the house was a very comfortable place to relax at the end of the day. Very friendly and responsive host, and a lot of nature walks in the area. Would definitely recommend.

our mid 30's. I grew up in Bellingham and couldn't be more grateful to have been raised in such a special place. Nothing has given me as much purpose as helping people improve their lives. I enjoy connecting with people and inspiring partnerships to find creative solutions to important social issues. After graduating WWU for public health I worked as a grant writer, firefighter, health education specialist and fitness studio owner. I followed my passion for building community here by helping to organize the Ski to Sea race this year. I also currently work as a realtor and find joy in building relationships, excitement, continuous learning and problem solving involved in the job. Kevin grew up in Massachusetts and discovered Bellingham at the end of a long road trip. His background is in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology and he now works as a factory technician at a local bike company. Our happy place is being out in nature together and going to community races and events. We love to mountain bike, run, rock climb, cook new recipes, play pickleball, hang out with friends & family, and explore all the beautiful areas nearby including the San Juan Islands, Cascade Mountains, Squamish and North Vancouver in British Columbia. We love helping others enjoy all the amazing adventures the PNW has to offer.
As a host, I prioritize excellent communication and strive to provide you with the best local knowledge during your stay. I'm more than happy to share information on mountain bike trails, restaurants, breweries, and other exciting activities and attractions in the area. Whether you're an avid cyclist seeking thrilling trails or a food enthusiast eager to explore the local culinary scene, I'll ensure you have all the information you need.
