Escape the ordinary and discover the A-Frame at McArthur Ridge Cabins, where nature's beauty meets mid-century modern design. Unwind in this secluded cabin, which is nestled among pine trees at the top of a ridge on 26 acres.
Step inside and gaze through the wall of windows. Savor morning coffee on the inviting deck. And as night falls, gather around the fire pit to sit back and relax.
Adventure awaits just beyond your doorstep, with Hocking Hills and more just a short drive away!
The Space:
Renovated in 2023, this space showcases a cozy first-floor layout with a living room, kitchen, bathroom (shower), and a comfortable bedroom with a full-size bed. Upstairs, there is a loft with a queen bed. Enjoy the blend of modern comfort and timeless charm! Stream your favorite movies and tv shows as much as you’d like with Starlink internet service!
If you've ever stayed in a cabin where you are surrounded by other cabins, the A-Frame at McArthur Ridge Cabins is the opposite of that. The A-Frame offers a secluded space to unwind and recharge as it shares 26 acres with just one other cabin (the log cabin at the lower end of the property).
While the winter months in Ohio lend a touch of cozy magic to the scene, just a heads up...During this time, the A-Frame might catch a few glances from the neighboring home towards the back of the property. But worry not! The front of the cabin will continue to provide you with privacy.
We do not offer any hiking trails on the property. Hike at your own risk.
The booking party must be physically present throughout the duration of the stay.

My family and I really enjoyed this trip. The isolation of the cabin was nice. Good food close by. The NES Classic was so much fun. The host provided a lot of amenities in the cabin and very responsive. Being able to buy firewood on-site was convenient. Highly recommend.
This cozy A Frame was perfect for a quick weekend getaway! Set back from the main road, it was very quiet and peaceful.

Very easy to navigate to the cabin and enjoyed the stay. Very fast responses from the owners and the cabin was comfortable and cozy. We love to stay again.
This was the perfect location for our short and sweet honeymoon! It was an adorable house, amazing view, and within a good driving distance of all the hiking we wanted to do

Great little A-Frame. Two great bedrooms! The owners didn't miss a thing to make your stay perfect!
Well stocked with all of the essentials! Warm. Cozy, perfect for a weekend stay!
This was the most beautiful and cozy cabin for our girls getaway. We crafted, we read, we watched movies, we hiked. The cabin was easy to find and close to restaurants in town as well as just 25 mins from Hocking Hills hikes. I hope to come back!
This was a wonderful place to stay for a few days. It was secluded and private and yet wasn't far from essentials like the grocery store, restaurants, etc. I would highly recommend.
Everything was better than advertised, wonderful property. Plenty of privacy but not too far from town. Only quarrel with it is that we couldn’t log in to our accounts on the tv and counter space is a little slim. Very versatile and functional, loved our stay.

Cutest little house in a secluded location. We had what we needed for a quick weekend away from home. Everything was neat and clean. We were even able to prepare a breakfast and grill out steaks for a dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

The A-frame was magical - clean, well made, beautiful - I got extra cool mom points for this pick!
The A-frame was very clean. Appreciated the extra touches of the linens, towels, campfire sticks, etc. The host made it very easy to stay there, even with a last minute trip like ours. My husband appreciated the workmanship and quality of the design and the fire pit area. My kids enjoyed the accommodations including the fire, yard and living area. What a superb find! Highly recommend!

Perfect tiny A-Frame in the woods.
Cute little house with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We used the kitchen for breakfast and a dinner with the BBQ grill on the deck. Weather did not cooperate for us to explore the area as we wanted but we would definitely book this place for future stays. We have a student at OU about half an hour away.
We enjoyed three nights here with our son and dog. This house was spotless and had everything we needed! The kitchen was well appointed and we were able to cook all of our meals at home. The fire-pit was a lovely touch and we enjoyed it with s’mores on our last night there. Our son also enjoyed the old school video game console while we relaxed in the evenings. My only gripe is that it is about a 30 minute drive to Hocking Hills, but it wouldn’t prevent me from staying here again because we loved the place so much. As a side note, we did end up buying some bottled water because the well water was hard to drink. However, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
The location was great for our OU visit. The A frame was cool and clean with wildlife all around. Some spaces in the house are difficult for a tall person (only 6’1”) to navigate. Counter space limited and without a table inside, coffee table or end table it was difficult to find a place for things. A chair with a back would be a nice addition. The shower was small and the water pressure extreme. I admire what these owners are doing and the other unit we saw looks to be different and I would stay there. This unit just needs an interior designer to take a look to add comfort.

Thanks for the feedback! We’ll update our information to include more detail about what to expect with the A-frame. Hope to welcome you to our log cabin sometime soon!
Property is just as stated, clean, cozy and secluded. It was difficult to find but only bc I failed to read my inbox prior to going. The message left by the host is detailed enough to help one find the rode that leads to the house. The host called us back right away when we had difficulty finding it. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet weekend getaway that enjoys hiking and exploring hocking hills. The kitchen is stocked with basics. There were 4 waters in the fridge to start our stay which we really appreciated. Also some basic condiments. There are plenty of options for watching your favorite shows along with a movie selection of DVDs to help you unwind after a long day. We ate at a BBQ restaurant approximated 30 mins away that was delicious.

We’re always grateful for feedback, even when it stings. Customer service is very important to us, and we make it a point to check in after the first night to ensure everything is going smoothly. We didn’t hear of any concerns during the stay, so we weren’t aware anything needed attention.
We’ll think about how we can better encourage open communication during stays, as we always welcome the chance to make things right in the moment. Wishing you all the best in your future travels!
