About the host
Hosted by Holly Brown

Hello! We’re the Browns, proud owners of a 32-acre farm we fell in love with back in 2017. Our dream was to find a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and this land became exactly that—and so much more. Today, we’re thrilled to share our little slice of tranquility with others who are looking for a place to unwind, recharge, and reconnect with what matters most.
Why they chose this property
- The farm was originally settled between 1808 and 1812 as a constituent part of a larger parcel bestowed upon Colonel Grant by George Washington in recognition of his leadership during the Revolutionary War.
- Subsequently, the property was transferred to settlers from South Carolina, namely the Armstrong family.
- While the precise construction dates of the main house and side cabin remain undetermined, historical records indicate a period spanning from 1812 to 1889.
- The Armstrongs, in due course, divested the property to Dr. George, a renowned and beloved livestock veterinarian in Maury County.
- Following Dr. George's passing, the farm experienced a period of neglect. However, the current proprietors are dedicated to revitalizing and refurbishing the property into a functional hobby farm.
- Their vision is to offer a sanctuary for individuals seeking respite from urban pressures, providing an opportunity to reconnect with nature and seek solace.
- Prospective visitors are warmly invited to partake in the journey of the farm's revitalization, and it is hoped that a stay at this establishment will contribute to a more peaceful and uplifting personal journey.

What makes this property unique
- If you're seeking a location that is close to all the wonderful attractions of Nashville, Franklin, and Columbia, but also want to stay on a nostalgic Tennessee farm, then this is the perfect place for you.
- You can enjoy the best of both worlds: the vibrant city life when you want it, and the tranquil countryside when you're ready to relax.
