My family and I stayed here for weekend of Summerfest! Enjoyed our stay. Beds were super comfy!! The only complaints we had was few lights didn't work/burnt out and no garbage bags. So minor things.

I had no communication on how to check in or what the code to the place was. Normally the owners email you with insturctions, but this was not the case. There was another couple renting in the same location and they also had no idea how to get into their room. I called 3 times and texted the host several times and did not get any reply. On a fluke I entered the last 4 digets of my phone number and was able to get in. I told the other people what worked for me but that did not work for them. The communication was horrible and the owner never responed to my my textes or phone call. The tub did not drain and they listed it as 4 bedrooms but did not endicate that two rooms were upstairs with no air conditioning. There were boxes left in the livingroom which was odd. And the smoke detector beeped all night because the battery needed to be changed. For the money it was not a great experience.

Short Stay but Great Experience

The property was as advertise except for the hot tub that was incorrectly clicked as a feature (I'm going to caulk as an accident), but that didn't take anything away from the location of the house. It located near the shores of Lake Michigan about 3 blocks away with a beer garden. Located about 20 minutes away from the Milwaukee Mile race track. The community was excellent. There was a farmers market on Saturday.

Charming meets Modern 4 bedrooms

On initial posting host had hot tub listed. I asked about it as it was not in the photos. (There is no hot tub, was removed from listing) Asked to check in early, not permitted. Sitting outside property at 3 PM (check in at 4) and cleaners were done and gone. The floors still dirty, exhaust fan in bathroom very dirty. In house rules it says to put dirty dishes in the dishwasher before you leave... There is no dishwasher! Per listing there is a hair dryer.. No hair dryer to be found. When asking host about it, oh another guest must have taken it.. Shouldn't the cleaners have a list of what should and shouldnt be in the house?? Prior to coming, asked the host if there was a grill, she said yes. Okay great. Get there and no grill is located. After our stay i mentioned this to the host, and said that it is behind the fence. There was no direction that we could go behind this fence. This property is in Milwaukee.. I'm not going to go in areas that i'm not told that I can! House is for sale, but the grass out front is not mowed.. I will say that the King beds were super comfy! Just need more specific directions from the host and better house rules listed in the house for check out procedures.

They have clearly worked hard to make updates to the property yet overlook some basic things such as cobwebs and spiders in multiple corners throughout, bathtub didn’t drain so filled up to ankles and hair floating in the water, bathroom vent was dirty. There is AC in the unit but two of the rooms are upstairs and the air wasn’t coming out from the vents upstairs so was very hot, had to buy fans to keep it manageable to sleep there.

The property itself was a good location and as listed. However there’s many issues with the communication we got from the host, check out instructions were not clearly listed and check in information was not provided until I called and messaged a couple of times. The house could use some cleaning, there were cob webs in many places and the upstairs had windows left open upstairs in the sweltering heat so we had to improvise. All in all it was okay, good location, good house, aspects of the experience were subpar.
