About this property

Colonial Casita-Centro

If you're looking for an authentic Mexican experience our home is for you. This is not the Mexico of tourist resorts, but a beautiful little home in a real Mexican neighborhood.

We think you're going to love it!
The space
Experience the best of Centro Mazatlan in a beautifully restored Colonial Row House. The restoration project of this more than 100 year old home maintained the original style and it is decorated in a traditional Mexican style. The restoration project was completed within the guidelines of the "Instituto Nacional de Antropologia e Historia" due to the home's designation as a "Patrimonio de la Nacion".

Welcome to an authentic Mexican experience!
Guest access
You will be renting the entire home and will have access to two bedrooms, and a complete shared bathroom. Clean linen for the bedrooms and bathrooms is included. The bathroom was completed using talavera tiles throughout, the sink is built of cantera stone. From the bathroom, looking out the oval window you will have a view of the dessert style garden. The kitchen has modern equipment and includes refrigerator, stove, cooking utensils and dishes.

The garden was installed along with the restoration of the home, and features vegetation native to the region. Plants in the garden include the Yucca Palm Tree, Swamp Palm Tree, Flower of the Dessert, Crown of Christ Plant, Madagascar Plant, and Egyptian Papyrus Grass.

While enjoying the outdoor kitchen and dining area you will also enjoy watching mother nature reveal herself in front of your eyes. The more than 40 year old Amapa Tree is home to a woodpecker and several small lizards. The vegetation in the backyard attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and bees. While enjoying the open air dining are you will hear the lullaby of the resident singing lizards.
