This location is pure bliss. You could walk to all the bars, restaurants, and activities of West End in just a few minutes. Or you could grab a water taxi to world-famous West Bay Beach in just a few minutes.

Or, you could just stay on what feels like your own private beach all day and enjoy this pristine tropical gem of a Caribbean island. You can choose whatever you want!

Villa del Playa is a small 6-unit condo complex offering all the amenities you want without the crowds of a large resort. Enjoy a community plunge pool overlooking the sea – complete with a waterfall. Relax on the large pool deck just steps from the beach where you can choose to chat with other guests or simply lounge in the sun.

Take advantage of a private dock and have your dive boat or water taxi drop you off right at home. Head out in one of our kayaks to the coral reef just offshore so you can snorkel and marvel at all the colors underwater.

You'll love having the amenities of a complex while enjoying the small, intimate feeling that is lost in a large resort. The entire Villas Del Playa complex has filtered and potable water throughout so you can vacation with the peace of mind that your water and ice is nice and clean.

Location was great; just far enough away from town center to feel secluded, just close enough to walk to all that West End has to offer! Condo was as advertised. Only complaint was the need to check-in off site.

Week long holiday

3 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 tweens fit very comfortably. The place was beautiful and well maintained, staff incredibly friendly and the location was perfect. A 5 min walk along the beach to get to all the West End activities, meaning we were able to be comfortably car-less for the entire week. Highly recommend!

Not a very relaxing holiday.

Great location and a good property. We had a few problems like the kitchen floor tiles raised up and exploded. The manager came over immediately and promised it would be repaired asap. We spent a week walking around the damage because no one ever showed up to fix it. Three different days the condo above us was being cleaned and water would pour onto our balcony and ruin our outdoor sitting. I had a $12,000 camera set up on the balcony and it was soaked and is now sent off to be repaired. Same thing happened while using the grill and all our food was soaked. Lots of repairs on other units that made relaxing impossible do to the noise but no repairs to our unit as promised.

Hi Mark. Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We do take negative comments very seriously. We have no record of any complaints to us at the office during your stay. Had we received them, we certainly could have spoken to the caretaker re the water ( an easy fix), and investigated what repairs were happening in other condos. I understand from our maintenance department, the tile issue was reported to the groundsman. They had a contractor lined up for the work but he let us down. If we had known this was a huge inconvenience for you, we could have offered an alternative villa. We are sorry your vacation was not relaxing. In the future you can avoid this by reporting issues as they happen!

Great Place to Stay!

We loved our stay here! It was a perfect location for us, quiet but very close to everything. The condo itself was spacious and very well kept. We spent most of our mornings on the patio watching the boats go by. Our group enjoyed walking right out to the beach and either snorkeling, using the kayaks, playing in the pool. We would definitely come back here!

Best spot on the island!

You can't go wrong with this property. It's in an ideal spot near West End - not too close and not too far from the crowds. Walking distance to good restaurants (you'll want to taxi/drive to Roatan Oasis). Take a kayak and enjoy fantastic snorkeling straight out from the beach. Seriously, there are boats constantly bringing people to the spots that you can kayak out to for free! Speaking of the beach, it's narrow but nice and clean. You probably won't do much swimming in the ocean due to the turtle grass, but it's still quite nice. The pool, while a bit small, is perfectly adequate. The negatives? Bit of a litter problem on the island. Kind of gross to snorkel at Half Moon Bay and see a floating plastic bag. Power went out for maybe 1/2 hour each time, but I guess that is normal. Wifi can be a bit slow. But I'm really searching for negatives. Book it!

Fabulous beach condo in an incredible location

We have used this condo 3 times in the last year, and absolutely love it. It is in an excellent location, kayaks are included, Blue Channel is straight out off the beach (fabulous snorkeling), and it's an easy walk to a plethora of shops & restaurants in West End.

Awesome Property

Great property, very well decorated and kept, very upper scale features, amazing kitchen and bedrooms, very deluxe, comfortable, great views as its literally right on the beach. The only negative is not the property itself but the location, the beach in front is full of seaweed and not the best, we went down to swim in west bay as its the best, but west end beach has some nice swimming areas also. If you plan snorkeling or diving them the best place is literally in front of this property, take a boat or kayak out to the reef and be amazed.

Thank you for the kind words. We appreciate the feedback. Winds and tides vary and your point about the seaweed is well taken. Sometimes we get weeds and sometimes other parts of the islands get it. Luckily we are in a location that its easy to access other beaches by water taxi. That said your feedback is heard and we will try to double our efforts to get that area cleaned up after a high tides better going forward.

Fabulous location in paradise

The condo was wonderful. Located right on the beach, with kayaks included, and easy access to one of the best snorkeling spots on the island. The view never got old! The lodging was accurately described on their site, and we were comfortable with a group of 9! I would definitely recommend this listing, and hope to stay there again in the future. It is a short walk (use the beach route) to restaurants and shops in West End, and just enough off the beaten path to be quiet and peaceful. The communication, booking, and check-in process was smooth and easy.

I have been all over the world and my vacation to Roatan and Villa del Playa was one of the top 2-3 vacations I have ever had. Perfect location in between West End and West Bay. The location was exactly as advertised. Cannot wait to go back. Wish I had never left. Couldn't believe how calm and beautiful the water is.

Great Time, would go back in a flash!!

We arrived at Villas del Playa and was greeted by a representative with the management company. she was very nice, showed us the condo and its features, made sure we had everything we needed. they also supplied a local mobile phone for us to use while staying at the condo. Beer and snacks were also provided. we found the villa to be extremely comfortable and just what we were looking for. the view is spectacular! West End is a very short walk, and all the food, drink and activities anyone could want. really loved this place. Mark

Wonderful, spacious and great location.

This property was perfect for our family of scuba divers. The property description was great -there were 3 bedrooms with two rooms having 1 king and 1 queen and the third room had 2 twins. We loved being able to walk to town to eat and snorkel directly out from the beach. We also used Native Sons Dive Shop and they picked us up at the dock in front of the condo. They even had some necessary items for the kitchen and several treats such as popcorn, tortilla chips, granola bars. The water is filtered so we refilled our bottles from the tap without any complications. We cooked breakfast almost everyday and everyone made their own lunch. We ate in town every night. The washer and dryer were used a couple of times and we bought soap but there was already soap left from a previous renter. The property was clean and well-maintained. We met with Kalli when we arrived and she gave us a great orientation to the property, also giving us her phone number if we had any problems or questions. We would recommend this unit and hope to return soon. The diving and snorkeling is tops - we saw more varieties of coral and fish than any of our previous dive/snorkeling trips.
