Beautiful mountain top oasis for large groups. The whole thing was awesome. The only down side was that everything was 20-40 minutes away. But the location was amazing

We rented this property for a weekend playing board games with a group of 9 guys and had an amazing time. The enormous table in the dining area was big enough for us to have 2 separate large-scale games going at once and the great room was a nice place to relax. One big plus was that all the beds were twin size with comfortable mattresses setup in 2 wings from the main area. The deck was also a peaceful place to hang out. All the rooms were very clean and there was plenty of parking available with accessible entrances to the house.

The property is spacious and gorgeous and it gave our large family plenty of room to relax. The view from the front porch is very peaceful. We were in town for a family reunion. It was the ideal place for us. The kitchen looks out into the living/gathering area and all of the lights and woodwork are beautiful. Highly recommend.

Great Getaway

Our large group had a great time during our stay at The Bunkhouse. Larry was very communicative and helpful during the booking process and our stay. The house is well-suited for wheelchair access and has a great kitchen perfect for making large meals.

Great place

Great house with plenty of space for our group. We loved being greeted by the cows across the road when we would return from our daily outings. House is quite aways from town so be prepared to drive. But that would not deter us from renting it again when in the area.

The Bunkhouse is an awesome place to stay. This was actually my second time renting the house. It is very clean, the host (Larry) is timely on all questions and makes the check in process very easy. If you are staying in the area or just want a nice place to get away, you can't go wrong with this place. Spacious both for living and parking. The horse shoe game is a nice add for killing time. Beautiful setting in the hills of Kentucky!!! Great little BBQ place only 3.5 miles away also!!! Thanks Larry. See you next year!

Perfect for what we needed.

Property met our needs. Everything was great! Only thing I would change is the TV. Cumbersome with current applications. Would add you tube tv or something similar where you can pick network TV and ESPN for sports. . Or perhaps adding cable.

Hunter's paradise!

The bunkhouse was as advertised. It has a very spacious kitchen, dining and living room. We had a large group of hunters in and out. The amount of beds in the rooms allowed us to limit any issues with having clean beds. The house was clean, everything worked, hot water was plentiful with a huge tank. All and all, probably the best rental ever. Larry was prompt on returning messages. Thanks. Kentucky was beautiful...

Great place for a family gathering

The Bunkhouse is a great place to stay for multiple families. We had three families gathering for a holiday weekend, and our stay was very comfortable. There were more than enough beds and bathrooms for our stay. Our family includes one person in a motorized wheelchair. It's very hard to find a handicap accessible rental, and this was exactly what we needed to be able to include our entire family. Larry was a very responsive and helpful host, making sure we had everything we needed. He brought a high chair and made suggestions for local food. The area is quiet and remote, but there is a Dollar General about 5 minutes away, and a larger town about 20 minutes away. It's a beautiful area to get away. We would love to stay here again!

The beds were comfortable. The house wasn't as clean as I would have expected. The communication was challenging. There are a lot of rules and cleaning requirements left for the guests. The host requested that the next guests be allowed to bring some stuff to the house while we were still booked for their stay. Overall it was an odd experience that I don't want to have again. There was a lot of light flickering and it just didn't feel welcoming. There were also used toiletry items left.
