Caroline was very welcoming. We especially appreciated the brochures for things to do in Pittsburgh. The visible first aid kit also came in handy during a few slips on the stairs. Overall, a great experience. Would recommend.

We came to Pittsburgh for a baseball game and family time. This home is in the perfect location to walk everywhere! The home is nicely updated and the layout is great for 6 adults. Very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen had all the necessities. The owners are very attentive and gave great video directions! We would highly recommend this as a place to call home and will happily be back for another stay. Thank you Caroline!!

Great location for Pirates or Steelers games

I would highly recommend this house if you’re going to a Pirates or Steelers game as you can walk to the stadiums. The house itself is very comfortable and has everything you would need and Caroline was a great host and very responsive to a couple minor issues that came up. I will mention that if there is a helicopter landing or taking off at the hospital next door, it is really loud. Other than that, I would highly recommend this house.

Quaint House, Eclectic Neighborhood

My wife and I along with my brother and his wife came to Pittsburgh for a long week end to attend a concert at Acrisure Stadium. The home we stayed in was very clean and well appointed. The owner was very responsive to my inquiries. The location is walking distance to the stadium as well as the downtown area. We walked everywhere while staying. The diversity of the neighborhood is unique, which we enjoyed. High quality restaurants and pubs are in the surrounding area. The only drawback was a hospital that is in the area. The hospital has a helicopter landing pad which had the helicopter coming and going on a frequent basis. The noise of the copter landing and taking off was loud at times. That was mostly during the daylight hours. Overall our stay was enjoyable and the home was comfortable and a nice place to stay.

I’m originally from a small rural town about 90 minutes from Pittsburgh and have called this city home for 24 years. I love Pittsburgh’s “big little city” vibe—full of energy, history, and culture, yet approachable and welcoming. From Deutschtown to the North Shore, the Strip District, and Mt. Washington, there’s always something to explore.

I started hosting in August 2022, and creating a cozy, inviting space for guests has been incredibly rewarding. Comfortable and cozy are my favorite adjectives—I’m a little obsessed with making sure our homes feel just right.

My husband and I are parents to a 14-year-old hockey player, and most weekends you’ll find us cheering him on. Outside of the rink, I enjoy yoga, dabble in piano, and love good wine and conversation.

Hosting allows me to share Pittsburgh’s charm with travelers and help them make the most of their stay. Whether you’re here for sports, culture, or a relaxing weekend, I hope you enjoy every moment. Cheers!

Why they chose this property

We chose this North Side neighborhood because it offers the perfect mix of history, culture, and convenience. The area is home to iconic attractions such as The Children’s Museum, Carnegie Science Center, The Andy Warhol Museum, The National Aviary, Rivers Casino, Acrisure Stadium, and PNC Park—all within easy reach. For everyday needs and local flavor, you’ll find coffee shops, local eateries, pubs, and restaurants just steps away (Starbucks is only two blocks from the property!).

The property’s location directly across from Allegheny General Hospital also provides unmatched convenience for families visiting patients, making it easy to stay updated and provide support without long commutes. While many homes nearby are being revitalized, the neighborhood retains its historic charm, featuring beautifully preserved Victorian architecture that reflects Pittsburgh’s rich industrial past. The recent renovation of the Garden Theatre highlights ongoing revitalization efforts that blend modern amenities with historic character.

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy nearby Allegheny Commons Park, one of Pittsburgh’s oldest parks, offering green spaces and trails for relaxation or recreation. The nearby Three Rivers Heritage Trail along the rivers provides scenic paths for walking, running, and biking.

With its mix of cultural institutions, sports venues, green spaces, and a strong sense of community, Pittsburgh’s North Side is a vibrant, up-and-coming neighborhood. Its unique combination of history, charm, and accessibility is why we chose to invest in properties here, and why we’re excited to share this special part of the city with our guests.

What makes this property unique

Our home offers the perfect combination of convenience, comfort, and space—ideal for families or groups visiting Pittsburgh. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the “home away from home” vibe. The large dining room table is perfect for family dinners, game nights, or just gathering together after a day of exploring the city.

One of the biggest advantages of our property is parking—a rare find in the North Side. We guarantee a spot in our private off-street lot, right where you enter the house. If additional parking is needed, our guests can also use the Allegheny General Hospital garage directly across the street, making it simple to accommodate extra vehicles.

The house features three well-appointed bedrooms, including two with king-sized beds, providing plenty of space for individuals, couples, or families with little travelers. The third bedroom has a double bed with a new pillow-top mattress, perfect for extra comfort and cozy cuddles. Two of the bedrooms come with 45-inch TVs, so you can stream a favorite movie or show after a busy day in the city. With three bathrooms, everyone can enjoy privacy and avoid morning bottlenecks.

The spacious kitchen is designed for families and groups to cook together and enjoy meals with ease. Sip a glass of wine at the pub-style table while the chef in your group works their magic—making it feel truly like your home away from home. The living room is bright and inviting, featuring a large Pittsburgh print in a custom hand-crafted frame built by my father-in-law when we couldn’t find one within our budget. It’s a little touch that makes the space personal and unique.

With ample space, thoughtful details, and unbeatable convenience, our home provides a welcoming base for enjoying everything Pittsburgh has to offer, whether you’re here for sports, museums, dining, or just quality time with family and friends.
