About this property

Unique Country Farmhouse with Beautiful Courtyard

Escape from the city life and come stay at our farmhouse. This unique rental is situated on a little over 5 acres and it is only a couple minutes from the Outer Banks corridor (highway 168). It is such a beautiful home and boasts a fun and relaxing courtyard to enjoy all day and night.
This unique farmhouse has a lot of charm and is decorated in beautiful colors to warm your heart to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. The open concept layout has a large kitchen, family room and sunroom/dining room. From the time you walk in the front door the cathedral ceiling and large sunroom catches your eye and brings you to the beautiful outside courtyard. The home has 2 bedrooms: Bedroom one has a queen bed, daybed with a trundle. Bedroom two has a full bed, daybed with trundle. This home has one full bathroom and another half bathroom in bedroom number two. There is also a washer and dryer in this rental.

On the outside of the rental there is a beautiful side yard and courtyard. We incorporated some whimsical colorful art so you will see some pretty cool things out there. For the kids, we have a paper scavenger hunt to find all the "critters” throughout the gardens and a fairy garden under the large oak tree for the kids to enjoy. For the adults the courtyard has a grilling area with a propane gas grill, picnic table, wood fire pit, chairs around the firepit, covered carport/dining area with another large dining area and outdoor bar. The café lights in this area really enhances it at night. It is absolutely beautiful out there under the stars.

This rental has a lot to offer in the country and is close to several points of interest. If you have a boat, there are several boat ramps for you to enjoy the Tulls Bay, Northwest River or the Currituck Sound. This rental is a 30 mile drive to the Outer Banks (OBX) bridge. There are several restaurants, shops and a grocery store within 4-8 miles. There are several parks and other attractions within short driving distances. Note: We purchased this property late 2023 and have been making improvements every chance we get. Stay tuned for more updates in the future!

We had a wonderful time at this property! The host was so kind and responsive, the house and yard were beautiful, and the overall experience was great. Some of our favorite parts were having a washer and dryer in the house, the AC, and having a kitchen with all the appliances and utensils we could need. Would book again!

Tracy was an amazing host!! Beautiful property and very clean home! My husband and myself stayed here with our grandsons and look forward to staying here again in the future! Tracy allowed early check in which was very helpful for us. Plenty of space for parking . Very nice washer and dryer . The grounds beautifully maintained. Tracy left a bowl of snacks with a very nice card. Very peaceful backyard swing . We look forward to returning here next summer!!!

It is a beautiful country style cottage with wonderful scenery. There was games to play like scavenger hunt which was super fun with our youngest niece. The outside was so relaxing with the backyard setting. The house was inviting and had everything we needed and them some. We really enjoy it

Our stay was awesome. The menagerie of animals and insects in the back yard was magical for my granddaughter. She had the best time finding the items of the Scavenger Hunt list from the host. The house had everything that we needed: from the snacks to the coffee and everything in between. I grow up in a farmhouse with colorful dishes, and this house brought back great memories. Being close to family to visit was great. Even though I grow up in Great Bridge just 30 minutes away, I choose this area because I knew that it would be tranquil and peaceful. The turkey's ever evening and morning was great for my granddaughter to see. Thank you, Tracy, that my granddaughter could experience. What a warm and very inviting HOME away from home. It is so well decorated, many books to read on the comfy sofa or near the incredible backyard with so much to see. Just lovely place. Sandy does a remarkable job with the yard and cleaning. I washed my clothes so I don’t need to worry when I get home to do laundry. Love the gas stove and refrigerator. Tact and Keith, thank you for the opportunity to stay. I will be back and spread the word to my coworkers. JD

My name is Tracy and I have been a host for a year now. This unplanned venture started when I purchased my childhood home in Virginia and needed a way to cover my monthly payments. Well it has been such a rewarding experience meeting new people and keeping my parents legacy alive that I also bought my grandparents house in Tennessee and my friends mom's home after she passed in North Carolina. My husband and I have been having a blast taking these older, run down homes and making them into nice places to visit while keeping their heritage and legacy alive too. Family means so much to me and I want to help other families have great vacations while keeping the pricing very affordable.

Why they chose this property

This house is located in the middle of a field, has a large horse barn and other farm buildings. While it is in the country it is only minutes away from restaurants, grocery store etc. Since it is located in Moyock, NC it is a short driving distance to the Outer Banks in NC and to Virginia Beach, VA.

What makes this property unique

This custom built farmhouse has a unique footprint/layout with a large solarium with dining table. It is located on 5 acres but surrounded by other farm acres with no close neighbors.
