A classic Montana cabin with a beautiful pond in the evergreen forest. You will have a secluded and private experience, where deer roam the property daily. This property is located outside of town and you really are out in the woods.

The Retreat at the Pines is a modern cabin with AC and heat throughout.
This cabin offers 4 bedrooms, with 3 downstairs and 1 on the main floor. The main floor provides one bedroom with a queen bed, a full bath, the kitchen, and family room.

The downstairs provides 3 bedrooms which include 2 queen bedrooms and 1 room with 2 bunk beds to sleep 4. There is a full bathroom and laundry downstairs as well.

The large rear porch opens to the pond. Amenities include a gas grill, a hot tub, and a gazebo that leads to the dock into the pond. There is plenty of seating on the porch and at the gazebo area.

You are about 15 minutes from downtown Whitefish or Kalispell. Big Mountain Ski area is another 15 minutes past downtown Whitefish.

Location was perfect-feels far way in the woods but is super close to town and GNP. Property is well maintained, home was clean, organized and had the main essentials. Plenty to do on the property for days you just want to chill in the cabin. Hosts respond fast to questions/concerns. We ended up adding an extra day due to loving the cabin and location. LOVED IT!

Annual friends ski trip

We very much enjoyed our time at the cabin. Easy to access. Short drive to town and to big mountain but still with a secluded feel. Our hosts were easy to work with but non intrusive in our stay. Loved having a hot tub to relax in after skiing some of the most expansive terrain in North America. One of our favorite trips and places weve stayed so far. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Very nice property

The cabin was nice and clean. It is close enough to whitefish and Kalispell to make for easy drives to both, but far enough away from town to feel remote. Saw deer out the front and back doors several mornings.

Favorite rental ever

I stayed here with a few friends to celebrate my birthday and it was the best rental I’ve ever stayed in. We planned our days so that we could hike and visit Glacier but still have most of the day to hang at the cabin. The backyard is extremely beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. We enjoyed a very clean hot tub and wonderful outdoor propane fire. We cooked dinner in the cabin and read our books with the fireplace on. I had the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and you’ll be good to go. I will absolutely be planning another Whitefish trip so I can stay at the cabin. Thank you Carl and Joy for everything!! 10/10

Great place!

We all enjoyed the cabin very much. The cabin was very clean and in a secluded area. Though the water was a little too cold having the pond in the back was great. Carl was very friendly and easy to deal with. Would love to stay here again sometime.

The Best Home for My Perfect Day!

We reserved this home for myself and my bridesmaids the night before I got married, and it was where my husband and I came after the wedding, and it was PERFECT! Carl was so nice and responsive, it was really a pleasure staying somewhere so close to my own home- I felt like I was really on vacation!

If you are looking for relaxation this is the place. Beautiful all the way around including wildlife, pond and big outdoor patio. Carl and Joy are the perfect hosts. We loved the treats when we arrived.

Incredible Stay

Absolute Best Place!!!!

We stayed at 3 properties on our Glacier Trip and this one was by FAR the best. It looks just like the online pics. Very clean, so much room, comfortable beds. My kids loved the pond and hot tub. We will definitely stay here again!!!!

The Cabin

Wonderful experience. Teens loved the swimming hole. Wasps were bad so we ate inside. Previous guest dog left a present in the yard so we cleaned it up. Beds were hard but comfy. Coffee was amazing! Delightful experience. Wish we could have stayed longer.

AMAZING

It's even better than the photos! This is the cleanest place i have ever stayed in my life. We had an exceptional time and will be back again. The property and location is PERFECT. We saw deer, turkeys, and a bear. They are so kind and made us feel so welcome. We couldn't ask for anything better! I'm from kalispell and would book here again even without friends visiting

Enchanted Stay

Extended family gathered for a ling weekend. Great secluded location yet close to Whitefish, Kalispell, GNP and airport. The pond, patio, porch, SUPs and kayaks offered so many options for activities and gathering. Returning to the cabin every afternoon was such a nice treat. The kitchen/dining/living apace allowed us all to cook while spending time together. The modern kitchen had everything we needed. Beds, linens, and AC were super comfortable. We met Carl once when we arrived which was a huge help, but the primary home is located up the hill, allowing the cabin and pond to feel very private. Great stay. Would live to come again.

Breathing cabin

I can’t say enough about this cabin. I felt at home. The cabin was fully stocked and very clean. It was secluded in what I would call hidden valley. The pond in the backyard was the highlight of the trip for the kids. The location was perfect . We can’t waif to com back next year.

Beautiful lodge - everything we needed and a lot more. Wonderful touches like special biscuits and the canoes and floats for the lake. The kids were so happy and preferred being in the lodge to hiking! Thanks so much. It was utterly first class.

Tranquil and private

We spent three days with our family on property. Close to town but very private and tucked away. The kids enjoyed swimming and kayaking and watching the wildlife come and go in the early morning and late evening hours from the covered lanai. It was so peaceful. The hosts were gracious and kind. The beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious, and the kitchen and living room were perfect, providing adequate space for everybody to relax, connect, dine, and hang out. We will be back again!

Stay for family wedding

In town with a family of eight for other families wedding. Great location to hang out, spend time and socialize. It really invites you to enjoy and spend time in the beautiful Whitefish area.

Secluded Cabin near Glacier

Book it! You will not be disappointed. This cabin is roomier inside than it looks outside. It indeed sleeps and hosts 10, we had a family of 9. It is laid out so it would be appropriate even for just 2. This place is super clean, well-stocked while being minimalistic. The kitchen is amazing with solid counter tops and island. Our young adults swam and paddled in the pond. The hot tub feels new and was really clean like everything else. Open campfires are not allowed in the area, so the owners have a nice, raised propane gas fire pit. We had an internet problem, they responded right away having the internet service out the following day. We really enjoyed the quiet porch rockers in the morning watching wildlife coming to drink out of the pond. The whole place is beautiful inside and out! This cabin is about 45 minutes from Glacier National Park entrance, within 10 minutes of Walmart in Kalispell. We passed several ski resorts in the area.
