The place was very clean and very nice on a beautiful spot on the lake the only problem was getting in the front door knob didn't want to work once we got in we just use the other doors overall it was a great place
We had a great time at the 'Crew Haus'! Nicely decorated (loved the rugs) and had a good access for us to kayak the lake with. The cleanliness of the grills was disappointing but it did not stop us from enjoying the place. Thanks for sharing your Haus w/us!
We rented this place for a family birthday/father's day trip and it was perfect. The house is decorated beautifully and full of wonderful amenities. We enjoyed the spacious Lake House and were very comfortable the entire time. It was a great place to relax with family. Kids loved fishing off the dock and all the fun indoor and outdoor toys. The hosts were wonderful and easy to communicate with. We loved the blackstone grill and were happy to see all of the cooking utensils needed for our entire stay. Even the bedding and rugs were top notch. It was a great place. We hope to be back for another getaway!
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was a nice rendezvous point between Grand Forks, where or son will be going to college, and the Twin Cities. We were even able to bring our small dog which was a huge plus not having to have someone take care of her for us while we were gone. My son and I enjoyed the double inflatable kayak. The cabin is about a 1/2 hour drive from Brainerd/Baxter where we spent a little time shopping, having lunch at Sage in Laurel, and enjoying a movie at the Baxter theater when skies were looking a little iffy. The cabin is clean, cozy, and the owners are doing a great job at remodeling it. We would definitely recommend the cabin to others.
Great place if you are looking for up north getaway
Enjoyed our stay and the owners were communicative and helpful. One small issue arose due to a cleaning person (not caused by home or owners) error and they were willing to make it right immediately. The dock and paddle board/boat were fun. I would say it felt like staying in a friend’s house but the friend wasn’t there. It was pretty clean and I would stay again even though the couch covers and comforters hadn’t been washed in a while and a few pieces of furniture/dishes/lake gear could use an update. It is a beautiful home, not a five star hotel. Plenty of dishes for cooking and full kitchen. Washer and dryer work but dryer had a trick to using it, didn’t need to use it anyway. Bathrooms, kitchen and floors were very clean and the owners provided an amazing water filtration system for drinking as the house is on well and septic. Great for families and the big living space is beautifully updated. Kids loved the video games. Hosts even provided extra air conditioners in case the house wasn’t staying cool in high heat - super considerate. Crookneck lake is smaller but cute and not overly busy, plenty of other lake access points close by. Hosts provided restaurant and service options close by and the house is about 30 minutes from a very big town with everything you need; groceries and restaurants are very close by and reachable in 5 minutes. Would recommend and come back if it served our needs again. The owners seem very nice and are solid VRBO hosts.
