Classic Sunset Park 3 Bedroom 2 Bath Home
The space
This Classic Santa Monica home was built in 1939 as worker housing for Douglas Aircraft which was just down the street.
Douglas Aircraft was one of the big reasons why we won World War 2, churning out thousands of military aircraft.
Today, Douglas Aircraft is gone, replaced by restaurants and commercial buildings but this house remains, painstakingly restored to its original spender.
It has large bedrooms, a beautiful kitchen, all hardwood floors, a large walk-in closet, beautiful bathrooms, and a large backyard deck shaded by a huge stone pine tree.
There is a king bed in the master, 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom, and a queen bed in the third bedroom. There is off street parking for 1 car.
Please note that this house is rented without linens or towels. Gusts must supply their own.
The location is great. A number of restaurants are walking distance as well as Trader Joe’s Market. The beach is a 15 minute drive and West LA & UCLA are close by.
St. Johns Hospital, UCLA Medical Center, and Cedar Sinai are short drives. Freeway access to the rest of Los Angeles is close by.
Note: Due to Santa Monica's strict rent control laws, this house can only be rented on or very close to the date that it becomes vacant. Please check our calendar and see what the availability date is prior to booking.
