We had a wonderful time at this cabin/home. The host was so helpful and accommodating and replied quickly to any questions we had. It was exceptionally clean and a lot of room and beds for all. We loved sitting outside on the top of the boat house with a lot of room with chairs and a table. We hit the perfect weather and that is always a plus. The TV was great and had everything you needed in programs. Lots of room to park.Very nice pier and room for my fishing boat to dock. Bathrooms were exceptional with very nice new showers and a great Jacuzzi. It has central air and it worked great. Appliances were very nice as well. You felt comfortable at this cabin and hated to leave.
The positives were clean towels and bedding, fairly close to the boat landing, nice dock, large refrigerator (tho hinges should be reversed), and quiet. Coffee was provided. Good internet and television. We had some issues though - 1. Manager claimed we put a scratch in the formica; one of our group so a small scratch; others saw nothing, but in any case, we did not put it there, and were charged for it. 2. Stairs from the entry to the eating/living area are quite steep; more so than we envisioned. The fella getting a new knee had a tough time with them. 3. We could not figure out how to turn the heat on, at 32 degrees outside. One guy finally figured it out on the third day. The small space heaters helped, but the one downstairs did not work. 4. There are two places for smoke detectors, but they were not in place. 5. There is a minimum three night stay, apparently required by the Town of Cassian. We did not find that in the information, and were only looking for two nights. 6. Lights down to the dock would be nice; only two of the solar ones were working.

Basically the above review was left after I made a claim, 18 days after check out, to have a large cut in my counter epoxy sealed, which I do not think was unreasonable. Refrigerator hinges cannot be reversed or the island would prevent the door from opening. Not only did the guest cut into the Formica, they damaged the coffee table and sink decorative handle. Guest is challenged by technology, both thermostats work fine (ecobee), guest could not figure out electronic lock, all the electric heaters in each room work fine. Both furnace/ac and room heaters are Bluetooth so I monitor them constantly. The stairs are noted in the listing and are normal pitch, not handicap friendly, as I state. Guest parked over septic holding tank. All and all both platforms we are on we receive ratings of 5, with one at four. Definitely would not host this crew again they were not respectful to the property. I am available by text or phone 24/7 and they never reached out about not understanding the thermostat or anything else. They also left the wood-stove a mess.

Dear Guests,
Welcome to Andy Lee’s Bearskin Cabin. We are honored to have you stay with us and hope you find peace and joy during your time here.
This lake house holds a special place in our hearts. It is named in honor of our beloved son, Andrew, who passed away in infancy. We created this space as a tribute to his memory, and we hope it brings you the same comfort and happiness that it brings us.
