★ OUTDOOR RETREAT ★
Step out onto the spacious backyard and take in the picturesque vistas of the water. Relish in the beauty of the greater Potomac and Chesapeake Bay while enjoying a barbecue or lounging in the hammock, swinging or relaxing by the fire pit. The private dock is perfect for sunbathing, fishing, paddleboarding, kayaking or jumping in for a refreshing swim. If you have a boat, you can bring it and tie it up here and enjoy the best part about this house- the water. It is tidal, the minimum depth at low tide is about 2 1/2 ft.

Games await you outside also with corn hole, giant Jenga and croquet among others.

You can’t leave your fur baby behind, so feel free to bring your dog, but please clean up after them.

★PROXIMITY TO ATTRACTIONS★
Beyond the property, Montross offers a variety of recreational activities such as hiking trails, golf courses, wineries, and charming local shops. Discover the history of the area by visiting George Washington's Birthplace, Stratford Hall, or Historic Christ Church or take the kids to Westmoreland State Park or Shark Tooth Island to find fossils, the roller skating rink or the Tom Rhodes Tree Carving Trail. There is truly something for everyone here.

-The house is located in a natural & wooded area, so you may see & hear bugs, bald eagles and ospreys and other birds, furry critters of all sizes (including but not limited to deer, squirrels, and rodents), & reptiles. Our property has regularly scheduled pest control, however, we cannot guarantee that any such critters will not be visible in & around the property. Please try to keep the doors closed. Do not feed any wildlife as they are wild animals. No refunds will be provided if a local critter visits the property.

-The house is on a well and septic system. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper or rinse anything but water down the drain or the system may back up and there will be a fee passed through to the guest.

What a Wonderful Vacation Home

Easthaven is such a fun, family place to stay while on vacation. Clean, well equipped, relaxing and family oriented. We enjoyed kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, crabbing, visiting West Moreland State Park and the quant surroundings. The house has everthing needed for family fun and special time together.The dophins in the bay at sunrise and the scavenger hunt were nice, fun family surprises!

The house was great, really liked how there were towels, beds made, shampoo, conditioner and body wash ready to go. The house had a great layout and really enjoyed the outdoor table and chairs, hammock and swings. Plenty of things to do but ended up relaxing and taking in the beautiful view most of the time. This home is lovely, beautiful views, well appointed and clean. Perfect for gals trip or families, many games provided and a fun scavenger hunt too. There are many steps down to the water, not easy if you have mobility issues but you can enjoy the view from indoors or outside in the yard. We are already working on a return trip. Enjoy!

We had such a good time here! It was quiet and so relaxing. We made good use of the paddle board and kayaks. The water was warm and easily accessible which was great! The house was beautiful and well stocked and Abbie was so kind checking in with us to see if everything was going good or if there was anything we needed. Honestly out of all the times we rented I never had another host reach out to us like she did. Our older group of kids had no problem finding things to keep them busy inside and out. We even made use of the pass that was left to use, visiting Westmoreland State Park. Everyone has already asked so I’m sure we will be going back again! Easthaven offers A+ communication from Abbie and a beautiful place to stay. The themed bedrooms are adorable, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need, and the view is stunning. Holiday getaway

We came for R & R and we got it! Abbie was a great and responsive hostess and the house was perfect. Even though the weather was cold the views were still great, the layout was perfect and the furniture, especially the beds, was so comfortable. Getting groceries from the Food Lion was easy too. We're not big on water sports so unlikely we would come back in the summer, but maybe another visit in the spring or fall. Highly recommend!

The Perfect Weekend Getaway!

My husband, two daughters, and I recently spent a weekend at Easthaven, and we had the best time! Family fun in an idyllic setting

Fantastic trip! Wonderful, perfectly appointed home (no detail spared), with a spectacular view, even in winter, and even prettier with a little snow sprinkled in! The game theme was a hit with the kids and Abbie (host) and her family left no detail out! Wonderful views, spectacularly decorated, clean, bright and hospitable. Highly recommend. We arrived to find a sparkly clean house in a quiet, rural neighborhood. All rooms are tastefully decorated especially the brand new master suite and beds were comfy. The view is spectacular and we were treated to a magnificent sunrise our first morning. Serine Setting, Beautiful View

Easthaven is a clean, comfortable, updated waterfront location that was the foundation of our trip - in that we were able to build memories with our family in and around Northern Neck with ease. We visited over Thanksgiving with our two families. Coffee, cocktails and meals were enjoyed with the scenic ever changing backdrop of the Nomini, as it flows into the Potomac. I enjoyed watching birds and boats navigating their way as leaves fell during the end of autumn. I noted that the owners have great pride in the property. It showed in both the little and big things. Fresh paint, new floors and furniture as well as thoughtful, game-derived decorations made the place feel special. (Warning: We had an epic two day monopoly game that involved collaboration, hijinks, and raucous laughter.) Outside - the waterfront is awesome. They have a sturdy pier with all sorts of water toys. But we chose to explore nearby sights. -I picked up fresh fish (trout) to grill at O'Bier Seafood -We visited Stratford Hall (general Lee's home) and hiked the trails -Enjoyed beers at two breweries (Old Rappahannock Brewing Company & Northern Neck Brewing Company) Being an outsider from Denver, I was blown away by the friendly and welcoming vibe from everyone we came in contact with around Northern Neck. Easthaven felt like a home away from home. It made us feel like locals, and was a perfect place to explore the area and connect with our family. We all highly recommend.

Another awesome stay at Easthaven!

A group of friends and I had a great few days at this relaxing get away. We ate out sometimes and ate in other times. It’s so nice to come to a place that is already set up for you! We didn’t need to worry about sheets and towels or cooking ingredients/appliances. We could just settle in and enjoy the river! There was enough room for every one to be together, or not! It was really fun to tackle the treasure hunt game! We solved the puzzle the second time around! This visit we made a quick trip to the Enchanted Forest. We even met Tom, the tree carver. He was so friendly and informative! We also ate at N and N Burgers and Angelo’s. Both places are highly recommended! We are all looking forward to hopefully being able to return next year!

A Fun Girls Getaway Weekend!

I recently stayed at this wonderful waterfront rental for a girl's trip weekend. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the unique décor—everything was board game-themed! The creative concept added such a fun and playful vibe to the entire house, and it made our stay even more memorable. The hosts have obviously thought about the finer details to help guests settle in. The kitchen was well-stocked, with QR codes thoughtfully placed to help use appliances. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the towels were plentiful (and huge!). The house is well situated on the water, and we spent mornings and evenings enjoying the scenery. There were plenty of water toys and activities to keep everyone entertained, including kayaks and a pedal boat. The location is also great, with fun activities nearby like wineries and scenic hikes. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

Perfect Stay

I usually get a rental away from the city to spend Thanksgiving with friends. We wanted rural, private, quiet, water and scenery within a few hours of DC. This house was all of those, perched above the bay of a creek which flows into the Potomac, with outdoor space overlooking the water, and inside space large enough for people to “have their space” and small enough to feel a family/friends closeness. Very clean, efficiently laid out, well equipped, and recently remodeled, everyone thought it was perfect for the prep for, day of, and recuperation from Thanksgiving. The hosts paid obvious attention to providing those things that make staying away from home comfortable and easy, much appreciated especially in light of the distance to and limited number of stores (about ten miles). We absolutely adore how it's two hours or less from the DC area and even less time from the Richmond area and DOESN'T REQUIRE being on 95!! As soon as we drive through the farms on the way in, we relax and then when we get to the house and see the water, we are transported to a simpler time and all of the stress around us vanishes.
