On the inside, you’ll find the home filled with warmth, character, comfort, and good cheer. Updated, sparkling clean, and just simply pretty, you’ll have all the comforts of a true home. There are no close neighbors, just spectacular vistas. Throw open the drapes without feeling like you’re in a fishbowl! Both bathrooms have recently been fully remodeled. The bedrooms are all spacious, and each features a different configuration to meet the needs of any family or group. Large closets and blackout drapes are part of each bedroom, along with some gorgeous views of the property. The heart of the home is the spacious, vaulted open-concept great room, with kitchen/living/dining spaces and plenty of comfortable seating. The kitchen is fully equipped and has plenty of counter and cabinet space. Two porches and a back patio offer outdoor areas to enjoy the beauty around you. The front porch faces west, a lovely spot to catch the sunset. The 25x12 screened-in back porch offers multiple seating options to take in the views any time of day. Mornings are glorious! And the 25x40 patio is great for open air lounging and dining.
Majestic old-growth canopies of moss-hung oak, hickory and wild magnolia trees greet you at the entrance to the property and surround the home. This place is a wildlife sanctuary, home to nature’s incredible bounty, including a pair of resident sandhill cranes who raise their young here year after year. It’s not unusual to spot deer, turkey, raccoons, hawks, eagles, owls, waterfowl, the occasional bobcat, or even a bear. Plan to spend a quiet morning or evening on the back porch with a pair of binoculars, along with your cup of coffee or glass of wine.
Bring the motorcycles, RV, boat, fifth wheel, or other recreational toys as there is plenty of space to park your trailer with no bossy HOA restrictions. Motorcycle enthusiasts, you will be on the River of Lakes Heritage Corridor Scenic Highway with access to hours of beautiful rides, and Daytona Beach is just 25 minutes away. If you’ve ever been to or wanted to participate in Bike Week (every March) or Biketoberfest (every October), here’s your unique opportunity to be close to the action yet well away from the crowds and chaos! Volusia Speedway is only 9 miles away for dirt track racing fans.
The location of this home makes it feel worlds away, but it’s very convenient to all shopping and dining options in DeLand (only 7 minutes to the closest grocery store). Just minutes to the Stetson University campus and the Downtown DeLand Historic District, you’ll find a vibrant area filled with historic buildings, unique shops of all kinds, restaurants, bakeries, bars, fitness & spa options, coffee shops, museums and art installations. The property is located minutes from the DeLand Municipal Airport, where you can watch or even participate in world-class skydiving! Travel 25 miles east to Florida’s stunning Ormond Beach or Daytona Beach, 31 miles to New Smyrna Beach, and about 60 miles south to all of Central Florida’s popular theme parks.
Please note that your rental includes the use of the home, the front and back yards, and designated parking for up to 4 vehicles (including trailers), approx. one acre. It does NOT include a free-for-all use of the entire 10 acres. See Guest Rules below. The lake is a wonderful privacy barrier and home to a wide variety of wildlife, including alligators and other native reptiles! It is not human- or recreation-friendly, meaning it is NOT suitable for swimming, wading, fishing, boating, or jet-skiing. Please be respectful and smart. Keep your distance from ALL wildlife and everyone stays safe and happy!
Guest Stay – House Rules & Policies • No smoking or vaping inside the house or on the back screened-in porch. • No pets allowed. Service dogs must be disclosed when the booking is accepted. • No guns or other weapons, no shooting, no target practice. • No parties or events. This house is for accommodation of the number and configuration of guests listed on the reservation only. Visitors are allowed, but no more than 10 people are allowed (including children) at the house/on the property at any given time, and no overnights. • Motorcycles may be ridden in and out (quietly, please!), but not all over the property; the same for golf carts, four-wheelers, buggies, side-by-sides, e-bikes, etc. • The barn is off limits to guests. • Do not harass the wildlife. Please admire from a safe distance. • No swimming, wading, fishing, boating, or jet-skiing in the lake. It is a non-sporting, non-recreational lake. • Quiet hours are 11pm to 7am. • Please remove shoes before entering carpeted areas. If the house policies are not followed, the booking will be canceled instantly, requiring all guests to vacate the property immediately and forfeiture of the security deposit.

It was perfect for a quiet getaway for Mother’s Day. The view is beautiful, the sunrise and sunset are stunning. The birds and wildlife were calming. My daughter loved the swing and all the beautiful flowers. Our host was very attentive and all needs were met. I highly recommend this house for your stay. It was 30 mins away from our festivities. There’s restaurants and shopping near and the drive is nice.

This was the most peaceful, clean, and comfortable place I’ve ever stayed in. Everything was spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared, which made the entire stay incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. I was extremely happy with this property and truly appreciated the comfortable atmosphere and attention to detail. Hello and welcome to 11Heaven! I’m your host, Cyndi Jones. A Florida native, DeLand is my beloved hometown. As a young adult, I headed west and spent 30+ years in Denver, but always knew I’d return here. In 2011, I purchased this property and made it my home. It is a true sanctuary, and many have found comfort and healing in this special place. It is meant to be shared, and it’s my sincere desire that you enjoy your own slice of heaven on (Hwy) 11! Horses are a huge passion, and I have three. They sometimes hang out in the barn and pasture out back, but due to insurance restrictions, they can’t be here when I have guests. And if you’re wondering, yes, I do still use this as a part-time residence when not rented to guests. I appreciate you treating the home with respect and genuinely hope you LOVE your stay at 11Heaven!
