Host was very kind, answered all our questions quickly. Tiny house was super cute, clean, and decorated nicely. It was a great little getaway. The tiny house is in the perfect location, out in the country, but not far from nearby cities.
Property was nice, but there were two other rentals nearby. We had to share a fire pit with other guests. We also felt a lack of privacy as there were multiple cameras pointing towards living spaces and a guy with a trailer kept driving around the property (once at like 9pm with his headlights off which was a little weird) All in all it was fine, the space was clean and comfortable (apart from the spiders) but if you expect a secluded, private area I would look elsewhere.
Listing says tiny home is on 12 secluded acres. There is a home right next door and a camper that someone lives in on the same property. I don’t consider that secluded. I love the little house and it was clean and very quiet at night. I would stay again. I was just surprised that it wasn’t secluded like I had hoped and was listed. Worth the stay if you are in the area!
When I checked in, I’m not sure if it was the door left open for too long by a prior guest or not, but a lot of bugs had been let inside, and as someone with a phobia of insects this bothered me enough to check out early. Despite this, the host was incredibly open about my communication and getting me what I needed even after I left the property. The locations is a good drive from Nashville and the host went out of his way to reach a solution we could both be satisfied with. I believe I was just an unfortunate victim of a one time incident, the host was very open and communicative in the aftermath.
This was the cutest tiny home - which I didn’t realize was a tiny home! Decor was welcoming, house was clean, and for the few days my husband & I got away- it was perfect. We enjoyed the quiet and being able to celebrate his birthday with a relaxing escape while still close to the fun of Nashville. Only thing we weren’t fans of was- there was hardly any water pressure in the shower. Other than that, I’d definately have another getaway here.
I loved the deep quiet, the charm of the place, the pictures of Dolly Parton, the design, the excellent communication from the host… I think it’s a wonderful place for people who are just passing through for the night, but I’m an artiswas here for a personal retreat (not just for a quick place to sleep for the night), and realized that there were some essential things missing that could have made this place so much more supportive for me and others who come to rejuvenate:The listing used the words “kitchenette” and “grill“. Time for dinner! No grill, and the only means of cooking in the kitchen was a microwave. To me, “kitchenette” means that I at least have a way to boil water… Ideally at least a hot plate. Fortunately, I travel with a camp stove & cookware, so I was able to cook my dinner that I was looking forward to having on my short retreat.I was also surprised that there was no soap or shampoo in the shower (I typically don’t carry these with me in my luggage), and was a also surprised to find a nice Keurig espresso maker… without any Keurig cartridges! I think it’s important to let guests know whether you have coffee available, and if you don’t provide coffee (which certainly seems easy enough to provide), at least let them know what kind of coffee maker you have. Finally, the place cost almost as much as the 4-star hotel I stayed in the night before—worth it with a few changes (above)I enjoyed the space because I came prepared. The host was excellent.
