If you're looking for a comfortable, spacious condo for your large family, this 4 Bedroom/ 2 Bath Townhome in Mammoth Lakes California is perfect. Spend evenings around the wood burning fireplace watching television or movies on the large flatscreen TV. With new wood flooring throughout, this split level home allows everyone the space to spread out. (PLEASE NOTE THIS COMPLEX WILL HAVE A PAINTING & SIDING PROJECT GOING ON FROM LATE MAY INTO FALL, SOME WORK MIGHT BE LOUD BETWEEN 8AM-5PM) Located directly on the Red Line Shuttle Route and just a short walk into town for local dining and shopping, it is central and convenient. Whip up a gourmet meal in the full kitchen that is fully stocked with everything you will need for meal prep, and stainless steel appliances, and enjoy family meals in the dining space with seating for 8 and bar seating for 3. The large private deck on the upper level allows you to enjoy the forest setting. With a guest bedroom on the upper level featuring a Queen bed, with access to an adjacent full bathroom with shower. On the lower level are the remaining three bedrooms, with primary featuring a Cal King bed and smart TV, with a private deck. The second bedroom features a King Bed, while the third has two sets of twin bunk beds for a total of 4 twins. A spa, sauna, community BBQ grill and laundry facilities round out this mountain side, restful location. Just 150 yards from the Mammoth Creek park, you can fish the creek, use the playground or picnic at the tables or large grassy area or enjoy the Mammoth Community Rec Zone or LA Kings Ice that offers a host of activities and year-round recreation opportunities. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more. Approx. 1750 sq ft with 2 parking spaces. Guests will be provided two parking passes. If more parking is required than what is allotted, feel free to call our office for alternative options. A nice spot to stay at when boarding in Mammoth.

Everything was clean, the heater worked nicely, the parking was right next to the house, the TV was pretty new, the beds were warm, and just a solid choice. There was even a map of the mountain and a spot to put your boards after. In the morning my buddies and I just took the shuttle that was about a 4 minute walk from the houses with snow gear on. Vons was pretty close as well. Definitely plan on staying again.

I could hear the activity at night, and each morning I awoke to droppings on the kitchen counter. I also noticed bites taken out of avocados and peaches ripening on the counter. My children spent the last couple of nights in neighboring condos. I noticed sticky traps throughout the interior of the condo, so I imagine that rodents are an ongoing problem with this property.

Reviewer Comments: This place is probably good for two families with kids -it has all the standard things you need. Unfortunately, the bunk beds were too small for my group of adults so I would not recommend it for more than 4 adults. The heaters were finicky, it could have been cleaned better, and the kitchen had a bunch of broken appliances, so it's not the best shape. But it's a decent enough stay for a weekend.

Reviewer Comments: This was a new rental complex for us after going up to Mammoth for about 30 summers. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience.I made the reservation for 2 of our adult children and our nephew so that we could be in the same complex. Upon arrival, Unit 17 had not been cleaned. There was a used face mask, dirty tissues, and an old sock found in one of the bedrooms. The bathroom vents were filled with dust and lint. One of the bedrooms has popcorn ceiling which was water-stained and squishy to the touch from a leak. Some of the dishes in the kitchen were dirty. Some of the occupants felt that there were health concerns about staying in the condo. We asked to move to a different unit, but were told that wasn't possible. At that point, our nephew and wife left. A cleaning crew was sent to clean the day after we arrived. A group of management, housekeeping, and maintenance came to do an inspection. They decided that no health issues existed. We did a lot of extra cleaning ourselves in order to feel comfortable staying there. Things got worse for the 2nd half of our stay, when they started reroofing the unit. We were plagued with falling nails and roofing paper, as well as a LOT of noise. No one would take responsibility for scheduling the roofing project during our vacation. We asked for compensation for the cleanliness/health situation. It took a week of phone calls, multiple texts, and an in-person visit to the management company to get a response. They did compensate us for 2 of the nights because of the roofing, but we did not receive any compensation for the condition of the condo. All in all, this was a disappointing experience.

Mammoth ski trip

It’s nice cute place . Great location , close to vons and the shuttle . Hot water rush out so keep showers short , and the dishwasher could use an upgrade . Couldn’t figure out the fire place the logs wouldn’t light

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Old, old, old! We were very disappointed in this condo for a number of reasons: very dusty, ancient furniture with drawers that fall out, toilet that runs nonstop, old soft mattress with sheets that don't fit, sliding doors, windows, closet doors that either don't work or require herculean effort, and a master bedroom tv that doesn't work. Unit really needs to be cleaned and updated! To top off our visit the parking lot was slurry sealed the last day of our vacation over the 4th of July busy week! We were given a flyer the night before telling us that we needed to vacate the unit before work was to begin at 7AM. Needless to say our final day in Mammoth was ruined! Anyone leaving for home that day would not have been able to load their cars since everyone had to park them overnight on the main road. Also there is no storage area for bicycles or other equipment because the garage shown in the listing is actually being used as the 4th bedroom. Just a word of advice when you visit Mammoth, be sure to call ahead when you want to eat out since we found several restaurants weren't open every day which was another big disappointment on this trip!

Group stay

This condo was in a convenient part of town right across the Vons making quick trips effortless. The beds were very comfortable and the blankets kept us very warm which is always a conservative of mine when traveling to snow. The condo was clean over all but the kitchen and the appliances were very old and un kept we had to go out and buy our own. We were given soap to wash our dishes but no sponges or paper towels which was a little awkward. We had a good laugh about it and enjoyed our stay otherwise.

Also, I asked office staff for information and instead of answering, they told me to look on the wrong place in the information packet. So I had to ask again. They could have just answered my question.

The only issues with management is that they gave me the wrong keys the first time around,and when I received the right key, the door wouldn't unlock fully. My husband doing a way in through one off the window. Cleanliness of the home was good,though the cooking utensils were not as clean as i had wished. There was a pan with grease in it and a pot stuck in top of it. And lastly,I was surprised to find a wok there, though there was mold in it. Not very good. I went in a group of 18 and had 2 rentals, #15 is actually more modern and updated with bedding and furniture. The bunk beds on our side barely had space for someone to lie down in bed but not sit, where as the other bunks next door had a good amount of space in between the top and bottom bunks. The space was nice, though you have to make sure you do a walk through and let them know all the issues you find, since we found a lot of issues with the house. The property manager came a couple hours after we told Mammoth Sierra Reservations about the issues to check them out and fix what he could. We had a list of issues, one being the heater upstairs did not work. We had to use the fire place, though we still had to keep the door next to it open a bit for the smoke to travel out (one of the latch was missing and smoke came out the front, we had to place a heavy log to close the top door tight). Overall a good experience, but wished it was more updated and modern. We would definitely come back to this property, though not sure #17 is the right one for us.

High school cross country Mammoth camp

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our high school cross country team comes to Mammoth for a week every August to train and do things together. We stayed in several condos in Chateau de Montagne this year. Very good set up for 7-8 runners on the lower floor and coach or chaperone in the master bedroom upstairs and the kitchen and great room for the kids to use during free time. Also, we have to set a boundary that the kids can roam in and a condo complex is good for this, with it's pool area.

Reviewer Comments: This is a decent rental and was much cheaper than the other options available but it could use some updating / TLC. Several lightbulbs were out. The batteries in the CO monitor needed replacing, the smoke detector in the kitchen was just placed on top of a cabinet, the front door deadbolt was very hard to lock from the outside, and the fireplace didn't draw particularly well and until we had it really going it made the room smokey.
