Great Location & Hosts

This condo was exactly as shown and described! The location was perfect providing a nice 10 minute walk to the pier village. The condo is nicely decorated, equipped, and maintained making our stay incredibly enjoyable. The hosts were exceptionally responsive and thoughtful ensuring we had a comfortable and wonderful stay. Without doubt, we will stay at this condo in the future.

We had a fabulous stay in St Simons Island. The condo was perfect and walking distance to everything. It was very clean and quiet, also easy to find once we found Harbour Oaks. Host were very responsive and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

The night the lights went out in Georgia.

Our week at Peaceful Tides was the coldest for St. Simons in many years. Arriving in rain and waking to ice breaking power lines, and snow on the ground made for an interesting stay. Realizing our power was off in the condo, we contacted the owners and they were very gracious in offering to work with us in the circumstances. They monitored the GA power situation and kept us informed until all was restored. Barring the weather, our stay was delightful! The condo was as presented and very comfortable for two adult couples. We will definitely return!

Winter Getaway

Our stay at Peaceful Tides was most ideal. The condo is so spacious, clean, cheery, peaceful and very nicely appointed. We enjoyed the space's style and comfort. We felt like the owners were able to strike a wonderful balance between charm and practicality. The condo is in such a great location which we found easily walkable to the Pier Village, the Lighthouse and the beach. The owners are very hospitable, kind and we enjoyed the suggestions they provided on their favorite eateries. Thanks so much, Jim and Lee, for making our St. Simons Island vacation so positively memorable.

Guaranteed enjoyment

This property is beautiful, perfectly located, quiet, ultra convenient! You can’t go wrong here. Everything was so lovely, so clean, so comfy. Lots of space for relaxing with family. It is also very close to restaurants and shopping, although you would never know it once you enter the beautiful iron gate of the luscious community. Feels like you’re miles from civilization, when you’re seconds away.

Perfect Spot for a Relaxing Stay on St. Simons Island

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO rental on St. Simons Island! The property was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, making for a very comfortable home base during our trip. It was just a short walk to a variety of fantastic restaurants, shops, and the pier, which made exploring the area incredibly easy and convenient. A major highlight was that the property included bicycles at no extra charge, which was such a nice bonus. We enjoyed biking around the island, taking in the beautiful scenery. The grocery store was only a 5-minute drive away, so stocking up on supplies was a breeze. Overall, we highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a peaceful and convenient place to stay while visiting St. Simons Island. The host was communicative and made sure everything went smoothly. We had a great time and would definitely come back!

Labor Day at St. Simons

This was an excellent property and the owners are so helpful and communicate well! I was unfamiliar with the area, but this location was so great. Very convenient access to downtown and not far from the beach! Everything was so clean and well kept!

Super family friendly

We loved staying at Peaceful Tides! We have two small children and the space was perfect. Close to the beach, walking distance to ice cream, and most importantly a pool to go to on days when we didn't want to brave the sand. My husband is a dog trainer and we were especially thankful to find a place that allowed our two dogs to come with us. We will stay here again!

Awesome stay!

Our stay at this condo was wonderful! Our hosts were very helpful and everything was clean. It looks exactly like the pictures. Loved the beach theme furnishings and decorations. It is walking distance to food and shops. I would absolutely recommend this condo and hosts!

Fantastic Place to Stay!

We’ve been to St. Simon’s Island many times but have always stayed in a family member’s unit. With all of the families traveling for one big vacation and us now having a son, it was our first time staying in a unit as just our family. When we searched for properties, this one stood out immediately and it was just as advertised. Everything was so clean (could smell it the moment you walked in) and was fully stocked for everything we needed! All we had to do was rearrange some things on the tables since we have a walking soon to be 1-year-old who likes to get his hands on everything! Our family goes to St. Simons Island usually once every few years and we’ve already saved this property so we can hopefully use it again!

Peaceful community

Peaceful tides! It’s a perfect name for this small community of condos. Our second level unit was quiet, beautifully decorated, clean and had everything we needed for our three night stay on St. Simons Island . The hosts were attentive and communication was great! I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing condo near downtown

We've come to St. Simmons several times now and this by far has been the best place we stayed. Excellent location in gated community. Clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Everything was perfect and we just wished we had another couple fo days to stay. Easy walk to dowtown shopping and restaurants. Quiet area with friendly neighbors. Definitely recommend and we'll look to stay here again in the future. Cheers!

Amazing Condo!

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay! The condo was perfect for us and our Labradoodle that we brought. The condo was spotless, beds were comfortable and the location can’t be beat! The condo is very well stocked with towels, and bathroom amenities! Overall we had an amazing stay and are definitely coming back.

Impeccable hosting and pristine apartment.

We had a fabulous 4-night stay at Peaceful Tides. The location can’t be beat: quiet and restful, yet within easy walking distance to restaurants, pier, a beautiful park and of course the beach! Our hosts were very welcoming and the condo beautiful, pristine and very well appointed. We did not lack for anything and found ourselves enjoying relaxing inside in the hottest part of the day. We are no strangers to the loveliness of SSI but this is our first stay at Peaceful Tides and we will surely be back!

vacation at Peaceful Tides home in Harbour Oaks community.

Really enjoyed our stay at Peaceful Tides condo. It was quiet in the early morning and also from evening onward. Jim and Lee were wonderful hosts who tried to anticipate and provide for any needs their guests might have. Their condo was nicely furnished and well equipped. Every room had a flat screen TV and the one in the living room was huge. The condo was walking distance to Pier Village which had lots of shopping and also restaurants. It was around the corner from a park which had pickle ball and a fenced dog park. It was a short (6mins) drive from several beaches that had free parking. Our favorite was East Beach because it had very convenient facilities including showers and bathrooms. We were traveling with our loyal labradoodle and St Simons was very dog friendly! Restaurants allowed dogs to dine on their outdoor patios and even provided dog bowls for water or food. The beaches allowed dogs off leash if they were friendly and under the owners voice command. We were able to rest, relax, and really enjoy our time on the island. We look forward to a return trip! Thank you Jim and Lee for your attention to detail and your kind hospitality.

Family Vacation

My family stayed here for a week in May. This property was very nice, and clean. The condo has everything you need for a comfortable stay while on vacation. The beds were comfortable, and the neighborhood is very quite. The owners/ property management is fantastic ! Super attentive, and made sure we had all the information we needed for a easy check-in , and stay. We will definitely return for another stay .

Fantastic!!

This was our first visit to St. Simons Island and had no idea were to stay. I came across this property and after reading all the reviews, which were all excellent, I decided this was the place. It did not disappoint! We felt at home from the moment we walked in. It was bright, clean and beautifully decorated. The location was quiet,and secure but close enough to enjoy everything the island had to offer either by car or walk. Jim and Lee have thought of everything one may need for the perfect vacation including a well stocked kitchen. One little glitch with checking in but Jim was very attentive and was solved very quickly. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful home away from home. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I live north of Atlanta, we visited a few times and we fell in love with St. Simons Island. Our favorite location was Harbour Oaks - We purchased our condo in 2023 and we hope you and your family will be able to enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We wanted to be as close to the village as possible. Harbour Oaks was our favorite complex because it was steps from the village, gated, peaceful and very private.

What makes this property unique

The previous owners had done an amazing job completely updating the condo. The kitchen has been opened up to the dining and living areas, it also provides new appliances and a granite bar for extra dining. It took us a while to settle on a name - but the word we heard from everyone who visited was "peaceful" - So we love the name "Peaceful Tides".
